Anupama was shocked would be an understatement, to see Anuj in the Shah house to attend the wedding functions. She just hoped against hope that nobody insults him or GK kaka. She was in for a big surprise when Baa said that she had invited him and kaka for the function. the moment was taken to the next level, when she saw Vanraj go ahead and shake his hand. She was so thankful that this was first and the only moment that she felt on cloud nine seeing her friend being welcomed with open arms.

After some time, she saw Anuj talking to someone over the phone. She thought she would go and speak to him. She went forward and was all smiles as she couldn't contain her happiness. She went on and on about how this never happened before and it happened now and that too for him. He just stood there admiring her as she was reminiscing the moment. He then realized that all he wanted to do was sit and adore her for the rest of his life as she enjoys her blissful moments. She noticed him admiring her with a content smile. He got conscious and shifted his focus elsewhere. He went on to pull out the envelop of the next letter. She was already happy and seeing the letter she was on cloud nine. Opening her arms to embrace him, she went forward and then realized what she was doing and pulled back her arms. He noticed that and he so wanted to pull her in his embrace, and he knew that even she wanted the same. But he didn't want to do something that she might regret later and so he refrained.

She took the letter and saw the date on it. It was dated 25th September 1995. She then kept the letter in her bag carefully and carried on with the function.

Later that evening when everybody started discussing about marriage and its sustainability, Anuj had some really valuable points to add. He said, "if somebody's one smile can make your day then it's our duty to give them a reason for it." And Anupama started wondering how it would be to have Anuj in her life. She dodged Anuj's hopeful gaze and he got the hint that she would never fall in love with him. But little did he know the change of feelings within her.

With those thoughts in mind, she went home after the function was over and immediately took out the letter to read.

Dear love,

After today, it's confirmed that we are so made for each other. How is it even possible that two people so perfectly fit in the definition of life partners or even soulmates for that matter.

I had given up on the hope that you would perform in the dance competition. I had requested Devika to convince you once again. I told Devika that I will speak to you. But she said that if any boy went to request her to participate in the dance competition, then she would not even give it a thought. So, I left it to Devika to take care of it.

I wasn't sure that you would perform but I wanted to keep that prospect open, if in case you changed your mind. Yes, I kept everything at stake but when it comes to you, I don't care about anything else.

But you did! I don't know what made you change your decision and frankly I don't care. You performed and that's what matters to me. I was bewitched, seeing your dance moves in that auditorium. The moment you finished; the hall echoed with a loud round of applause for several minutes. Many of them even stood up to acknowledge this amazing talent, including me. I was so elated at that moment that I wanted to shout out loud that you are my girl!

You didn't have any hope of winning. You wanted to leave immediately after the performance but Devika and other girls in your group pulled you back to your seat. And I thanked Kanhaji that you stayed.
