hopefully from now on I would be able to give regular updates. Enjoy this one for now.

Happie Reading!!!

Anupama was done reading the letter and was mind blown wondering till what extent could someone go for the person they love the most. He had been so impulsive during his college days that he just jumped into action without giving a thought to the consequences and repercussions. She so wanted to talk to Anuj about it. But then she remembered that he had strictly said not to discuss about the contents written in the letter. Her already active mind was in amazement and wonderment, and there was another mind at wildly guessing the content of the letter, as he witnessed every expression that passed through Anupama's face while reading it. Vanraj was curious to know what it was.

"Mummy!" Pakhi called out to her mother.

"Haan ayi!" Anupama replied as she casually laid the letter on the table and went.

In this gap Vanraj went ahead picked up the letter along with the envelop. It looked very old and tattered. He first read the date "13th December 1995" and then went ahead to read the whole letter. His jealousy shot to its peak. He crumpled the letter in his fist with fury. It was then he realized what he did and then immediately opened the fragile sheet of paper delicately and kept back where it was. But the damage was done.

Anupama then returned to see the letter in a not so good condition. She wondered who might have done this. Right then her phone started ringing. She picked it up to see Anuj's call. Answering the call she said, "Hello Anuj. Boliye. Kaise ho?"

There was silence in the other end. "Hello? Hello Anuj?" Anupama checked whether the call got disconnected but no. The call was still going on.

"Busy ho kya Anupama? Maine disturb toh nahi kiya?" his voice was low and hesitant.

"Mai apke liye kabhi busy nahi ho sakti Anuj!" she tried assuring. And then the silence continued. That statement of hers cheered his upset mind a little. But he continued to be silent.

"Anuj aap theek hai na? Apki tabiyat toh theek hai?" Anupama was now concerned for him. His absence frustrated her to the core. She felt helpless not able to see him and figure out what bothered him so much.

"Tum abhi Shah house mein ho?" he asked again in the same tone. Anuj always felt insecure when it came to his love. He knew he could never win her over. But at least he could enjoy her presence and friendship. Every time he saw her with the Shahs, an unknown fear gripped his heart. There were many instances in the past when this so called family of hers deliberately tried to keep her away from him. He feared that he might be stripped of these ounces of beatitude. He so wanted her forever close to his heart, but he had convinced himself that she was out of his league. He should be thankful for the friendship that he got.

"Apko kaise pata?" Anupama wondered aloud.

"Voh Pakhi ke..." he couldn't complete his sentence. He then disconnected the call. He tried being normal but couldn't. How could he ever be normal when it came to Anupama?

She understood that he might have seen the picture in Pakhi's social media post. She now understood that her proximity with the Shahs affected him very much. What she couldn't understand was that why it had to affect him so much. Not that their friendship was going to get altered in any way.
