who is just like me

she is black

together we create the grey area

and she is the moon

i am salt

how could i possibly compare?

but there is something that we share

and many others.

thinking of each other

how could i ever be her friend?

because she is who i wish i was

and she is careful all together.

i would've given up the boy
if i could keep the girl

who gets to have the earth
but the earth is a rolling stone

she is a beautiful gem
a sapphire in its purest form
and i hate it
but i envy that.
