stand still

streets of gold and fire Part 1

Luz, Camila, Vee, Malcolm, and Barry worked day and night trying to find the source of these new arms dealers but with no luck, just finding people trying to buy, no one directly in contact.

( STAR labs loft)

Luz: Agh this is useless, we haven't even left square one yet.

Barry: Well this is an investigation Luz.

Luz: Yeah but in movies they seem to go by so quick.

Malcolm: All movies exaggerate though, it requires gathering evidence, patience, statistics, and a lot of other things in order not to screw it up.

Luz: Well you have a point. I just wish we had a lucky break.

Camila: Well sweetie the answer isn't just going to pop out of no where you need to search for it.

Malcolm: Hey that was my math professors saying when I was college.

Luz: Why would we want to know that?

Malcolm: I'm just saying something I thought was a little funny, don't have to bite my head off. 

Just in that moment Chester on the speakers calls for everyone to come to the main room.

Barry: What is it?

Chester: Okay I think I found out a way to track these weapons dealers.

Luz: How?

Chester: All the weapons that where being sold had dark matter substitutes, I mean a bunch of different ones but all where a viable replacement for dark matter.

Malcolm: Well thats great can you track any them.

Chester: A few but we have to wait for one of them to come up.

Luz: Well what do we do when it does?

Chester: I was thinking one of us would follow and see where they're set up.

Luz: Well who?

Chester: I was thinking we would decide when we figure out who's behind it

Malcolm: Well until then we can just do something else to pass the time.

Chester: There's no crime right now do you guys want to DnD?

Luz: Sure

Malcolm: I'm down.

Barry: Why not.

Vee: I could play

Camila: I've never played.

Barry: Don't worry, with your super speed you can read books in a matter of seconds.

Camila: Really?

Barry: Really.

Camila: You should have told me that the first day, I could have read a bunch of books that I've been dying to read.

Barry: Well first read the DnD books then later read everything you want. If you want to play that is.

Camila: Well of course I want to play now.

Barry: Awesome! 

Camila read all the DnD books and everyone had a blast. Malcolm died in the game so he was out but in the end Camila lead the campaign to a win. They passed out from staying up to late and all the soda they drank along with the tons of chips they had all eaten.

In the morning they got up tired and smelly. They forgot to shower yesterday but they couldn't really smell it. They just thought that a little fun to forget all the bad stuff was a good idea right now. Joe walks in and sees, smells, and gags.
