Magic and lightning part 1/5: Team building.

Once everyone had gotten back they went to see what happened while they were gone. Each group went in different directions to look for their respective friends.

(Luz pov)

Luz had been sitting in bed since she and Eda found out what that her palisman can enhance her powers. She had thought she new what her palisman was but would soon find out the truth.

Luz: So what am I going to do with you?

The palisman moves its head up to look at Luz. I then changes shape and turns into a mix between a cat and an otter.

Luz: Aww you know what makes me giggle.

The palisman starts to float up and wraps itself around Luz's arm and nuzzles her cheek.

Luz: Awww. You snakeshifter, now I'm sure that I picked the right name for you Stringbean. 

(Malcolm pov)

Malcolm and Kiki had left the building to get some air. Malcolm hadn't been feeling well since the Boiling Isles. Kiki sat next to him while he looked at where they are.

Malcolm: You now it's good that we got some people out and about because this place was getting crowded. 

Kikimora: Yeah. Hey how are they supposed to get back here? This place is miles away.

Malcolm: Allegra has some tech that can teleport people in a blue smoke. I don't really understand it but I'll figure that out later. 

A moment of silence passes them and Malcolm remembered a bunch of questions he wanted to ask.

Malcolm: Hey, how come you worked for the Collector back on the Isles?

Kikimora: Well at first I wasn't but when push came to shove it was ether that or be turned into a life sized ventriloquist dummy.

Malcolm: Wait what?

Kikimora: Yeah thats why there aren't so many people here. Most of them become the Collectors toys to play with. 

Malcolm: That just sounds deranged.

Kikimora: It was. I had to make a deal with him and so did Odaila. 

Malcolm: Who?

Kikimora: The Blights mother.

Malcolm: Okay there is a lot I'm not aware of.    

Kikimora: Yeah.

Kikimora started tearing up at the memory. Seeing everyone she knew turned into wooden puppets for a gods control.

Malcolm: Oh man, I'm sorry didn't mean to~.

Kikimora: It's fine, *sniff* I just wish I could have done anything. After Raine and the other coven heads were turned into a puppet by those star things, I was scared for my life, now I'm afraid to look at them.  

Malcolm: Wait Raine was a puppet?

Kikimora: And was possessed by Belos.

Malcolm started to feel bad for what everyone had to go through. He picked Kiki up and hugged her.

Kikimora: What is this?

Malcolm: You've never had a hug before?

Kikimora: Oh. I um, sorry I just didn't expect that. Why are you caring for me? I'm weak and was Luz's enemy, I was selfish.  

Malcolm: I don't see it that way. I see like, you were just trying to keep a good job at any cost, lots of humans do that all the time. You joining the Collector wasn't because you wanted to. It was because you wanted to survive. You're a survivor and that makes you strong. You can't change my mind about it, that you're an amazing and strong person.
