MARIA SMILED AS THEY walked through the gate, finding the other students. She saw Bianca and she thinks a girl called Yoko? With Eugene taking the photo. She grins and walks over to Eugene. "Hey hummer." Maria grinned, throwing an arm around Eugene's shoulder as Wednesday stood next to her.
"Hey! Wanna get a hummers group photo?" Eugene asked Maria and Wednesday. Wednesday doesn't reply. "Guess not." Eugene said. "Aw I'll do it." Maria relented. Bianca and Yoko move and she gives her phone to Wednesday. "Want to take the photo?" Maria grinned.
Wednesday sighed and relented, taking the phone. She grabs Eugene's arm and brings him to the weird wall photo thingy and they put their faces in the face holes. Maria grinned and Eugene has a sheepish smile. Wednesday held out the phone. "Done." She stated, Maria grinned and grabbed the phone, giving Wednesday a kiss on the cheek for a thanks and Maria and Eugene laugh at the photo, unaware of the goth girl's slight panic.
"Good morrow, my young Nevermore kin." A foreign voice stated, all the students turn to the voice, seeing a lady dressed up. She had ginger hair making Maria nod in approval. "I am Mistress Arlene. A real OC." Arlene said, making Maria look at Wednesday with a deadpan. "I don't think she's a real OC." Maria smirked. "Original colonist." Arlene explained, seeing the groups confused looks.
"Now prithee, put your cell phones on vibrate and make haste, for you are about to travel back in time to the year of our Lord 1625, to Jericho's first pilgrim settlement." Arlene said, leading the students. "I still don't know what a pilgrim is." Maria grumbled, watching Eugene run after the lady with excitement. "Yonder, behold the meeting house. Inside is a collection of artifacts related to Jericho's most beloved and pious founder, Joseph Crackstone." Maria zoned out, really bored.
"I haveth a query" Wednesday interrupted, making Maria turn her attention to the girl. "Pray, be quick, child." Arlene said, looking annoyed. "In the meeting house, which of Joseph Crackstone's artifacts are on display?" Wednesday asked. Arlene gave a fake smile.
"It is truly a treasure trove. Including original farming tools, tableware, even the Crackstone family chamber pot." Arlene replied. "Sounds Fascinating, we volunteer to work in there." Wednesday said, grabbing Maria's arm and going to walk to the meeting house. Maria looked confused. "Huh?" She mumbled. "Pray, no. That exhibit is being renovated. Today, thou will all be working at the beating heart of Pilgrim World." Arlene informed with a smile.
Maria groaned. They made them wear some wacky uniforms and give out fudge. Wednesday, deciding to put her German to good use, started lecturing Tourists on the real history of fudge. Maria knew nothing but nodded along, holding out a tray of fudge.
"Any takers?" Wednesday asked in German, holding out a tray of fudge with a smirk. The tourists let out disappointed murmurs as they leave. Arlene looks at Wednesday and Maria, a bit shocked. Wednesday sent the mistress a small smug smirk and Maria sent a grin.
