MARIA SAT WITH ENID waiting for Wednesday. Said girl walks up to them and they both stand up. "We're all set." Enid whispered to Wednesday. "Good. Thing's in position." Wednesday said. "Wanna tell me what you two were up to all night?" Enid asked.
"And spoil the surprise?" Wednesday asked, looking around. Enid grins. "Speaking of surprises, both of your costume's are in the tent." Enid said, making Maria's eyes widen as well as Wednesday. "Costume? I have to wear a costume?" Maria asked. Enid nodded. Maria shook her head. "Nope, absolutely not." Maria groaned. "Pleaseeeeeee." Enid whined.
Maria crossed her arms. "What's in it for me?" Maria asked, raising her eyebrow. "I'll give you a kiss on the cheek?" Enid said, teasingly. Maria's eyes widen and blushes. "Uh- you know what let's wear the costumes come on Wednesday." Maria said, grabbing Wednesdays arm and dragging her to the tent.
Wednesday groans. "You better give me a kiss for wearing a costume." Wednesday whispered. Maria looked at her. "What was that?" Maria asked, smirking. Wednesday grumbled. "You heard me now shut up." They arrive at the tent and reveals 2 black cat costumes. "Oh god I'm gonna be a furry." Maria whined. Wednesday looked at her with a deadpan look. "You already are." Wednesday retorted. Maria gives her a sarcastic smile and closes the curtain in between them.
"Maria are you done yet?" Wednesday asked, crossing her arms and waiting for the ginger. Maria groaned. Wednesday rolled her eyes and opened the curtain, seeing Maria shirtless, only wearing the bottoms and a sports bra. Wednesday's eyes widen and closes the curtain, a blush on her face.
She places a hand over face. The image played over and over in her mind. Maria's biceps which have some muscle on them, her body turned to Wednesday, the black cat shirt in her hand and the cat ears in the other. Her abs full on display, her blue ocean eyes staring at her in shock.
"You know, if you wanted to see me shirtless, you could have just asked." Maria's voice snapped Wednesday out of her thoughts, she looks at Maria and her eyes widen slightly. The black cat shirt was a bit tight on her body, making her chest pop out slightly, her abs lines shown a bit on the shirt. The cat ears on her head, the belt a bit loose around her waist, the sleeves showing her slight muscles.
Wednesday feels her face getting hot and looks away, Maria smirks knowingly. "Like what you see?" Maria teased. "No." Wednesday replied, walking out of the tent. "Rude." Maria mumbled, following her. Enid eyes widen when they both come out of the tent. She blushes, eyes moving from one girl to the other. She snaps out of it quickly. "OMG, You guys look purr-fect!" Enid squealed.
Maria smirked and wrapped her arm around Wednesdays shoulder. "Thanks Purr-incess." Maria winked. Enid blushes before noticing they don't have whiskers. "Only thing, where are your whiskers?" Enid asked, leaning closer to their faces. Maria blushes and looks away and Wednesday slightly blushes but hides it. "Ask again, and you'll be down to eight lives." Wednesday replied.
Soon, everyone is in their boats. Maria hears some girls chanting their name. She looks behind them and sends them a wave and a wink, making them squeal and cheer louder. Maria laughs. "Focus." Wednesday said, turning around to face Maria, a tone to her voice that Maria can't define. "What do we have here?" Bianca's voice resounded. Wednesday looks at the siren "The runt of the Litter." Wednesday deadpans.
"For the record, I don't believe I'm better than everyone else. Just that I'm better than you." Wednesday said, making Bianca frown. Maria looks over and see's Xavier staring at Wednesday. She glares at him and he glares back. Weems started talking but Maria didn't listen.
A gunshot goes off and Maria and the others start rowing. "Oh excuse us." Xavier snarked, getting past their boat. Maria rolls her eyes. She sees another team next to them. About to swing axes at their heads. "Duck!" Maria commanded. The team ducks as the axes swing over their heads.
Maria looks next to them, seeing the people who aims to chop their heads off being pushed towards a seaboy. She looks down in the water next to them, seeing a tail. She leans forward into Wednesdays ear.
"They have another siren sabotaging others." She whispered into Wednesdays ear, sending shivers down the goth girls spine. Wednesday nods and they start rowing faster. Wednesday stops rowing and uses her telescope and sees the Siren's tail, confirming what Maria said, she looks down at the hand. "Thing, you know what to do." She said. Thing pulls a switch.
They make it to the island and Wednesday gets out the boat. "Stay here and make sure Bianca can't sabotage our boat." Wednesday commanded, making them nod. Wednesday runs off to find the flag. "Thing, distract some jokers for me." Enid said, Thing complied.
He flicks a pebble at them and sends them a middle finger, making Maria snicker. "What?" One of them said in confusion. "Come on let's get it." The other one said, running after Thing. Enid sneaks over and slashes their boat. Maria smirks. "Nice one. Your claws are getting sharper." Maria complimented. Enid smirks. "Thanks to you." She sat back in the canoe.
They wait for Wednesday, Bianca's team has already came back with their flag and Black Cats made it to the island before them. Wednesday comes round a corner with the flag. "Come on! Hurry up we have to go." Enid said. They leave the island in times to see the clowns sinking. Maria smirked as she made eye contact with Xavier. Enid laughs. "Haha see ya jokers!" Enid said.
"I just asked myself. 'WWWD?' What would Wednesday do?" Enid grins. Maria smirks. Wednesday flicked a switch when they reached next to Bianca's team, making spikes come out of their boat. Just when they were going to stab Bianca's boat, a force pushed them, making them grunt. Maria looked at Thing. "This is your chance buddy." Thing jumped in the water and the force stopped. Maria smirked and rowed faster.
The black cats catch up and manage to stab Bianca's boat, making a hole in it, making them sink. The Black Cats officially won. They ran out of the boat with the flag and across the finish line. Everyone cheers except Bianca's fans. Maria's fangirls screaming the loudest. "WHOO!" Enid cheers, jumping up and down. Wednesday sends Maria a smile. Maria returns it and gives Wednesday a kiss on the cheek, making the goth blush.
"OMG WEDNESDAY, MARIA WE DID IT! THIS IS THE GREATEST MOMENT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!" Enid was ecstatic, shaking Wednesday's shoulders. Maria smiles. "Admit it, you kind of got into the whole school spirit thing." Enid said to Wednesday. Wednesday looks at Bianca. "You didn't tell me it was a dark, vengeful spirit." Wednesday smirks.
Enid grins at Maria. "Ah, here's your reward." Enid laughed, giving Maria a kiss on the cheek, making her face go red. Wednesday smirks at Maria's reaction and Enid teases her, giving her more kisses on the cheek as Maria stammers and waves her arms around, flustered. Their teammates cheer and celebrate as they won.
