MARIA PLACED A HAND on her face. Recently, people have been recognising her more in public and her popularity has been staring to skyrocket. People would see the average fan walking up to Maria and asking for a selfie, maybe an autograph. Maria sighs, tapping away on her phone.
She's interrupted by a tap on her shoulder. She looked over and saw Enid. She smiled and leaned down, giving her a forehead kiss. "Hey babe." Maria greeted her, putting her phone away and giving Enid her full attention. Enid grinned at Maria.
"Hi! I was wondering if we could visit Wednesday?" Enid asked and Maria smiled. "Sure, I uh- might want to get changed though." Maria said, looking down at her uniform. Enid nodded and they travelled to the dorms, quickly getting changed. "Thor. Come on buddy." Maria said, whistling for the magic animal.
Thor barks and jumps down from Maria's platform. Maria puts him on a lead and walks out of the dorm. "So... what do you want to do when we see Wednesday?" Maria asked and Enid shrugged. "I just want to see her." Enid mumbled and Maria smiled, making it to her car and opening the back door.
Thor jumps in and Maria closes the door. Enid enters the passenger seat and Maria sits in the drivers seat. She starts the car and places a hand on Enid's thigh as she reverses the car before driving down the road. Enid puts on some music and sings to it as Maria smiled at her enthusiasm.
After about 20 minutes of Enid jamming out to Music, they arrived at a large house. Maria deadpans, seeing they've painted most of the house black, but she shrugs knowing she can't do anything. Both of them exit the car and Maria grabs Thor from the back and they all walked up to the front door.
Maria knocked and waited a second before a familiar black haired goth girl opened the door. "Hey Wednesday!" Maria greeted, giving the girl a hug which she slowly returns, still not too used to affection like this. Enid hugs her too when Maria pulled away.
"Can we come in.?" Maria asked, raising a teasing eyebrow which Wednesday nodded, letting them in. "Follow me." She said, leading them up to her room. When she opens the door, Enid raises an eyebrow at the dark room. "It's so... you." Enid said, Maria laughed and Thor jumped on Wednesdays bed, ignoring the girl who deadpanned at his actions.
"I should hope so." Wednesday said, sitting down on her bed. Maria lays down on the floor, conjuring a small blue ball and throwing it at the ceiling and catching it. This repeats as Enid catches up with Wednesday. "Do you guys want to go out somewhere?" Maria suggested after about 30 minutes.
Enid shrugged and Wednesday nodded. "Let's go to Weathervane, I need a coffee." Maria groaned, rubbing her sleepy eyes. Enid and Wednesday exchanged a concerned glance as Maria walked out of the room with Thor. They follow as they make it to the front door and exit the house.
"So, how has your family been Wednesday?" Maria asked the girl. Wednesday nodded. "They're fine. Still as insufferable as they used to be." Wednesday replied and Maria smirked. "They're not that bad come on." Maria said, before turning to Enid. "How's your family? Did you tell them about you wolfing out?" Maria asked and Enid shook her head.
"No. I haven't yet.." She said, looking down and Maria ruffled her hair. "Don't worry about it. Tell them when you're ready." Maria grinned before she heard her name being called. She turned around and saw a group of girls, waving at her.
She grinned sheepishly and waved back as Wednesday raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. "Who are they?" She asked and Maria shrugged. "No clue, probably more fans." She said and Wednesday nodded, narrowing her eyes at the group of girls. They go to continue walking but one of the girls come up to Maria.
"Maria! Can I have a picture?" She asked and Maria nodded. She bent down next to the girl and grinned at the camera, putting a peace sign behind the girls head, making her laugh. Soon, Maria's surrounded by the girls and Enid and Wednesday watch, as Maria talks to them.
When one of them tries to cling to her arm, Maria would gently push them away, having boundaries. But that didn't make Enid or Wednesday any less jealous. Wednesday pushed through the crowd and grabbed Maria, who had a bunch of lipstick marks on her face or arms.
Maria had a traumatised look on her face. "Thank you.." Maria mumbled to the goth girl as the all the fangirls walk away. Wednesday ignored her and they walked to Weathervane and Wednesday pushes her into a seat and Enid and Wednesday sit opposite Maria as she wipes away the Lipstick marks with a napkin and a weird face.
"Honestly some fans don't know when to respect boundaries.." Maria muttered. Wednesday glared at her and Maria raised an eyebrow. "Are you okay Wednesday?" She asked the girl, who huffed and didn't reply. She turned to Enid, who was also glaring at her. "Are you guys.. jealous?" She said, tilting her head.
Enid growled and threw her head back. "Of course we are! A bunch of girls just came up to you and started smothering you." Enid groaned. Wednesday nodded and Maria sighed, petting Thor. "I'm sorry.. I didn't know those fans would smother me like that." Maria apologies, bowing her head.
Another girl comes it, it's one of them from earlier. She goes to Maria and goes to ask something, Enid records just in case something bad happens. "Uhm.. I'm sorry but I can't take any photos right now. I'm having lunch with my girlfriends.." Maria said, emphasising the word Girlfriends.
The girl gives her an annoyed look. "But I want a photo." She said and Maria raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry. But I can't take photos at this time. I just want to have a coffee with my girlfriends." She said, a bit annoyed that the girl won't leave her alone. The girl grabs her phone and holds it up for a selfie but Maria gently lowered her arm.
"For the third time, I cannot take photos.. I'm having coffee with my girlfriends. If you catch me after maybe I could take a Photo but I just want to spend time with my girlfriends." Maria said and the girl glared at her. "You're so rude!" She said, storming out and Maria sighed in relief, running a hand across her face.
Enid stopped recording, giving Wednesday a thumbs up who nodded. "Some times fans can be so exhausting." Maria groaned, ordering a coffee. "Thanks for sending the girl away. I know how much your fans mean to you." Enid said and Maria nodded, giving them a lazy grin. "Anything for you two." She said, making Enid slowly grin and Wednesday have a small smile.
