"I never thought I'd see this name again."

Soyeon cocked a brow, finishing her bite of food before speaking up.

"I'm gonna need you to explain. Now." She growled.

"Ah, of course." Yuqi complied joyfully, handing the phone back to Soyeon. "I believe this note is referring to Seo Soochul. He worked under me during a previous investigation, but was
fired from his unit for using illegal methods to obtain evidence, such as breaking and entering with no warrant, blackmail...You know, illegally obtained evidence cannot be used in court." She expanded.

"But all this letter says is Soochul. It doesn't mention a surname anywhere, or any clues that it is this particular Soochul. How do you know?" I inquired. Yuqi tittered, as if amused by my question. It seemed to tick Soyeon off.

"Because, baby, guess who Soochul's sister is?"

Yuqi seemed to have fun watching the gears turn in my head, and watching Soyeon's fuse slowly burn closer and closer to the end.

"Soojin?" I replied.

"Bingo, right on the money. You catch on quick." She praised.

"I didn't even know she had a brother..." I mumbled.

"Okay, that's cool, but what does that have to do with our investigation? Why did Soojin write that?" Soyeon asked, now almost completely ignoring her food.

Yuqi took another bite of her bulgogi and rice, chewing slowly, taking her time as a way of teasing Soyeon. Soyeon sighed, obviously not amused, and Yuqi shook her head and took the hint.

"I thought you might be able to answer that question on your own if you just thought a little more. Sad." Yuqi sighed with her mouth full. She swallowed her food before continuing."I believe this was Soojin's way of leaving a clue from beyond the grave— one that only you would notice. This kind of thing obviously is gonna be overlooked by the police. It will only look out of the ordinary to someone who knows her."

"So she's trying to tell us her brother has something to do with Shuhua?" I wondered.

"Could be. What do you think?" Yuqi asked in an attempt to make us do some of the brain work for ourselves, as she played with her food with her chopsticks.

"You said Soochul was fired for breaking the law to obtain evidence?" Soyeon suddenly chimed in, to which Yuqi hummed and nodded in confirmation. "He could be related to Shuhua, but I have another theory." Soyeon pondered out loud, Yuqi's eyes lighting up instantly.

"Oh? Have you caught on?" Yuqi sang, tapping her fingers together in excitement.

"I think this man might be the one who broke into [Y/N]'s dorm, or at least had some part in it." Soyeon theorized. Suddenly, Yuqi shot out of her seat and cheered.

"Yes! Precisely, this is exactly the case!" She exclaimed, making her way around the table to ruffle Soyeon's hair, which Soyeon did not enjoy. "I was beginning to be scared that you may never understand. Wooh! Thank God. Great work." She praised. Visibly irritated, I dared not say anything to Soyeon. I didn't bring it up, obviously, but I thought it was kinda funny. Yuqi went back around to her seat and stretched.

"Auugh, wow, all that brain usage must've made you guys tired. You look like you're falling asleep." Yuqi teased Soyeon, which finally broke her.

"Yuqi, I have questions for you." She growled, to which Yuqi snickered a little bit to herself. She leaned in, resting her elbows on the table holding her chin in her hand.

"Shoot." Yuqi grinned.

"Why do you live in the same apartment complex as Minnie? Why did you ask us to arrive half an hour apart? What do you know about this that we don't? What are your intentions?" She rapid fired, coldly staring into the younger's eyes, which didn't even seem to faze her. I hadn't known Yuqi long, but to me, one thing I noticed about her was it constantly seemed as if she was playing a character. Everything was like an experiment to her. It was all a game, almost to play with our heads. I think it was this trait about Yuqi that made Soyeon so revved up.
