It Was Love

Chapter 15

    After that we continued to play truth or dare, until Garroth said he was hungry.

    "Oh no! I forgot about the food!" Aphmau ran down stairs. I followed her.

    "Can I help?" I asked her.

    She handed me a plate of hamburgers.

    "Can you take these upstairs?"

    I walked back to Aphmau's room, careful not to drop any. Garroth instantly jumped up and grabbed one. Ein and Aaron did the same as I set the plate in the center of the room.

    Everyone grabbed one. Aphmau walked into the room carrying a plate of tacos. Travis tried to put his burger back, but Aphmau caught him.

    "You have to finish that first, before a taco." she told him.

    He tried to stuff the whole thing in his mouth but failed. Aphmau groaned. She walked back down stairs. I followed her again. This time, she handed me a box of pizza. I take it upstairs. Everyone snapped their heads toward the pizza. I put it on the floor. Everybody tried to finish their burgers faster. I smiled.

    I grabbed a burger and sat down on the floor. I closed my eyes, savoring the burger. I heard someone sit down next to me.

    "Eli, I'm really sorry about stealing your first kiss."

    I opened my eyes to see Ein looking into them.

    "It's okay. I would rather it be you than Dante. Also, I meant what I said. You are a good kisser."

    Ein turned red...again.

    "I just feel really bad about taking your first kiss. That's something that should be special, not just a dare."

    Ein looked sad.

    "Ein, it was special. It was something I will always remember. I enjoyed it. That moment was one of the best moments in my life. All my life, I never thought anyone would ever kiss me. Even if it was just a dare, that will always be a memory I'll remember. And...I-I like you Ein. You were the one in this house that I love. Yesterday, my mom told me that you and I knew each other before. She said that when we were really young, we were best friends. She showed me pictures. I remembered this one boy that was my best friend. I just didn't realize it was you."

    Ein looked at me.

    "You were the girl that alway played with me...You were the one my mom always talks about..."

    I looked into his silver eyes.

    "Ein, I love you. You are the light in my day. I didn't know that I loved you until tonight. When you told me what love is, I knew that I loved you. If you don't feel the same way, it's fine. We can just be-"

    Suddenly Ein grabbed me and kissed me. It was even more amazing than the last. He was holding me even closer. I looked into his eyes. He looked into mine. When we separated, Ein was still staring into my amber eyes.

    "Eli, I love you too. Ever since I laid eyes on you, I felt like I knew you. I fell in love with you at the park. Your skin felt like it was burning up. When I hugged you, I felt something in my heart. I knew you were the one. The only one that I've ever loved."

    I felt tears forming. I tried to shove them down, but one slipped down my cheek.
