After the nurse left, Aph and Aaron left as well.
Gene stayed though, talking with Ein and I.
"So, I think you two should stay inside as much as possible. We don't know when Lily is going to attack Eli or kidnap Ein, so we have to do this smartly," Gene said.
"Since when did you get so intelligent?" I joked.
He stared me in the eye.
"Since I might lose my best friend if I'm not."
I stared at him, tilting my head a little bit.
"I thought I lost you. It was like you were dead. The whole school was talking about how the Omega's mate was in a coma. The werewolves were going crazy, Aaron said it was because they didn't have an Omega. So to replace Ein, he became the Omega himself, because he didn't want to choose another," Gene said.
"Wait, you weren't at school at all?!" I asked, turning to Ein.
He shook his head.
"I-I couldn't leave you. The only time I did was when they forced me to, which was every weekend at night."
I stared at him in shock.
Another nurse walked in.
"You can leave tomorrow. However, that boy can not stay here tonight. He has to go home. Tomorrow, someone can come pick you up and take you home. You might want to be extra careful though. Make sure someone is with you at all times, except at night," she said.
"What if she doesn't have anyone?" Gene asked.
"Then we can find someone."
"Oh that won't be necessary. I have someone in mind, and if he refuses, I have others," I said, glancing at Ein.
"I do not recommend him. A werewolf male? I've heard he is the Omega at the Phoenix Drop High School. He might try something while you're weakened."
"Please, if he wanted to do something, he would have done it a long time ago. I sleep with him. If he wanted to do something, he could have a long time ago," I said.
The nurse rolled her eyes, leaving the room.
"She was rude," Ein said, taking my hand in his, playing with my fingers.
"Yeah."
I clenched my hand into a fist and he grinned.
"It's nice to see your hand move after a month of no movement," he said, uncurling my hand.
"Ima go now, so you two do whatever. See ya," Gene said, walking out of the room.
"Can we do it now?" Ein asked.
I sighed dramatically.
"If you want to..." I said, and he immediately leaned down, pressing his lips onto mine.
We made out for a solid fifteen minutes, before the nurse came back.
By then, Ein had sort of gotten halfway onto the bed, and I had my arms wrapped around his head.
"Ahem. What you two are doing is disgusting and-"
"Look lady, they can make out if they want to. Ein hasn't kissed her in a month, so just fu- I mean just leave them alone." A voice I knew very well came into the room.
Ein pulled away, a thin string of saliva connecting our mouths before quickly breaking.
Ethan stood in the doorway, smirking as the nurse quickly left the room.
