After Ein finished his conversation with Ryan, he went off to keep Ethan busy while me and Mark went to find the other basement.

First we looked for the zip line, but we couldn't find it. Eventually, we stumbled across another giant tree, so Mark started pulling on every. Single. Knot. On the dang tree trunk.

I had sat down underneath another tree scrolling through the internet after the first ten non-passage-opening-knots.

After five minutes, I got a text.

Ein- Eli where r u?

Eli- I'm sitting under a tree watching Mark pull on every damn knot on a giant tree

Ein- Oh. Well I just wanted to text you and say I love u!

Eli- Love u 2

"Hey look! I found it!" Mark said, looking over at me.

I glanced up to see that Mark had successfully found the correct knot, so now a dark staircase was visible, and a door made of wood was swinging back and forth like a door in the wind.

Well, it kind of was. The wind is blowing, and the door is on hinges.

Whatever.

Mark rushed over and pulled me to my feet, dragging me down the stairs excitedly. The problem in his plan was that there was a box at the bottom of the staircase. He tripped and fell on his face, which made me burst into laughter, and since the force of the fall ripped his hand out of mine, I was left standing.

"Hey! How was I supposed to know there was a box there?!" he yelled, glaring up at me as I stood on the fifth step down, laughing.

"You could have gone down slowly," I said, carefully walking down the steps, feeling along the wall for a light switch.

Once I reached the bottom step, I found the switch and turned on the lights.

Bright light came from the ceiling, illuminating the room. Now I can see the large green tote Mark tripped on, and the light pink walls of the room. The floor was made of a shiny, light wood, and it had a pale pink rug pushed off to the side next to the tote. A light was placed in the center of the ceiling, and it lit up the whole area.

Mark stood up, brushing off imaginary dirt off of his shirt.

"Time to explore!" He announced, and explore we did.

We found there were three bedrooms, one being the master bedroom with a bathroom, and a walking closet. We also found a nice, big kitchen, another roomy bathroom, and a nicely sized living room. There was a small gym as well, and a small storage area.

The master bedroom has dark blue walls, soft white carpet, and a king size bed. The closet could be a tiny bedroom if there was a bed in it, but I know Ein is going to fill it with junk and make it a 'can't walk in closet.'

The bathroom inside the master bedroom is huge to say the least. There's a big shower, a counter with two sinks, a mirror over the sinks that covers the whole wall, and even a jacuzzi tub! The walls have dark green tiles, and the floor is a nice black tile.

The two other bedrooms were identical, just with the beds in different areas of the room. The walls were painted a bright pink - much to Mark's despair - and a soft beige carpet covered the floor.

"Why does it have to be pink?" Mark asked as soon as he found out he was going to be staying in one of the rooms.

"I don't know, just be glad to have an actual room and not the couch or air mattress!" I said, stepping out of the bedroom and into the hallway with crimson walls and a hardwood floor.

Mark pushed past me and marched into the bathroom.

"This color would be better!" He said, waving his hands at the teal paint.

I shook my head, sighing.

My phone chimed, notifying me of a text message I just got.

Ein- Ethan is asking where u 2 r. TELL ME WHAT TO DO

Eli- Calm down

Ein- DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!

Eli- Babe, just tell him we're out grabbing baking stuff

Ein- That's it?

Eli- Mhm

Ein- Oh okay thnx

I smiled, shoving my phone in my pocket.

"So now what?" Mark asked.

"We set up the party stuff," I said, looking up at him, grinning.

The first thing we did was go to the store. Why would Ein and I have any party supplies! We don't have parties!

We bought - using Mark's credit card - streamers, balloons, and confetti. When we got back to our original bunker, Ethan was waiting.

"What're you gonna make?!" He asked excitedly.

"Uh...a cake?" I answered.

"What kind?"

"Chocolate." I said, while a loud groan came from the living room.

"Not chocolate!" Ein said.

"I'm also making vanilla cupcakes, since Ein and I can't eat chocolate," I added.

Ethan smiled.

"Can I watch you make it?" He asked, and I shook my head.

"Nope! You have to wait until it's completely done to see it."

He sighed, lowering his head and shaking it slowly.

"Drama king...anyway, Ein and I are going to go see, uh, Aphmau, so you and Mark can stay here," I said, making Ethan look up.

"Why can't we come?" He asked.

"Because. I don't want you to."

He looked skeptical, but nodded.

"When will you be back?" He asked.

"I'll text you," I replied.

"Lemme get changed first," Ein said from the living room.

I set the bags down while I waited for him, while Ethan and Mark went into the kitchen.

"Eli, how does my friend know you exist? He asked for your number, but I haven't ever mentioned you before," Ethan said.

Crap.

"You got a phone call today, and you weren't here so Eli answered it," Ein said, walking into the kitchen.

"Ready to go?" he asked.

I nodded, and we each grabbed a bag, leaving the tree.
