Ein sighed in relief and pulled me away, off the beach and into the closest forest.

"Where are we going?" I asked him.

"Away from your brother." he said.

I laughed. We found a big tree, and climbed it. We sat in the branches, talking and laughing.

After a while, I suggested we go back.

"I don't feel like being lost in a forest at night." I told him.

He agreed. When we got back to the beach, Ethan was waiting.

"Where have you been?! I've been looking for you!" he shouted at me for a while, about going off with a boy alone for a long period of time.

I groaned. Ein looked at me. I saw a mischievous glint in his eye. I smiled.

He quickly picked me up bridal-style,     and started running. Ethan chased after us. Luckily, Ein is faster and taller than Ethan, even though Ethan is older. Ein ran away from Ethan for a long time.

When he started panting, I looked into his eyes.

"Ein, put me down. I can run, and you won't have to carry me."

    He looked back at me.

"I don't want to." he said, and kept running.

When he started slowing down, I got worried. Ethan was definitely going to catch us. Ethan grabbed Ein, by his tail, and held on. Ein yelped in pain.

"Put her down!" Ethan screamed at Ein. Ein gently put me on the ground, and fell down, unconscious. He was exhausted from running and carrying me at the same time. I knelt down and kissed his head.

"Did he hurt you?!" Ethan asked me. I shook my head, and sat down next to Ein's unconscious body.

"Elilora Jackson, you will come with me, and stay away from that boy." Ethan told me.

"Hm...I don't want to." I said, and picked Ein up the same way he picked me up, and started running.

"Elilora!" Ethan screamed at me. After a few minutes of running, Ein opened his eyes.

"Eli, what happened?" he asked me.

"Oh, you ran for about a half an hour, with me in your arms, and then passed out. Ethan wanted me to leave you, but I decided that I didn't want to leave you, so I picked you up and started running."

    Ein's eyes widened.

"Well, at least I get to be with you longer." he said.

    I smiled down at him.

"Ein, you know I love you, right?"

"Yeah I know. I love you too."

"Do you really think that I would just leave you?"

    Ein closed his eyes. "No."

    "Good. Because I wouldn't."

We ran until the sun set. I wasn't very tired, but I stopped at my towel and laid Ein down on it. He was fast asleep.

"Elilora Jackson! How dare you run from me like that!" Ethan grabbed my arm. I wrenched my arm free and punched him in the face.

"Ethan, I can do what I want to." I told him.

He touched the part of his face I punched.

"Eli...how did you hit me his face so hard?" he asked me.

"Like I said before; I was Omega at every school I went to. Phoenix Drop is the only school I've ever been to that I haven't been hated at. It is very difficult not to punch hard after that."

    He looked at me.

"What is an Omega?" he asked me.

"The lowest ranking in a pack. The one who is teased and beaten up the most. The most hated."

He stared at me, eyes wide.

"I was always the Omega. That's why I always came home covered in scratches and bruises. That's why Ein is my best friend. Because we both know what it's like to be Omega. We both know what it's like to be hated. We both know what it's like to have to be feared to not be bullied."

    Ethan just stared at me.

"I thought you got those scratches from the woods behind our house." he said.

"I'm sorry Eli. I never knew you were hated. I'll leave you alone." he walked away.

"How did a little game become so serious?" I asked myself.
