It Was Love

Chapter 18

    We used the rest of the sleepover, to hide from Gene.

    So while everyone was talking in the living room, me and Ein were hiding in a closet.

    Around 2:00, everyone started to gradually leave. Lucinda and Katelyn were first. Dante, Gene, and Travis left next.

    When Garroth grabbed his bag, something fell out. I rushed to pick it up, but Garroth was gone. I looked to see what he had dropped. It was a black book.

    I opened it to see many drawings of horses. Some were labeled too. 'Pinky Pie', one said.

    Wait.

    Pinky-Pie is a pony from 'My Little Horsies!'

    I looked in the front of the book and saw, 'This book belongs to Zane.'

    Zane is an emo kid at the high school! He's also Garroth's brother! I'll give this to Zane at school on Monday.

    "What's that?"

    I spun to see Ein standing there.

    "This fell out of Garroth's bag. I'm going to give it back on Monday." I told him.

    "Okay. Well, I have to go. Bye Eli!" he hugged me, and walked out the door. I went to find Aphmau.

    "Thanks for the sleepover. Is there anything I can do to help clean up?" I asked her when I found her.

    "No, but thanks for the offer."

    I said goodbye and walked home. When I got home, I put my bag down, and went straight outside.

    I decided to go to the park. I grabbed a spray paint can from the secret place Gene and the gang showed me, and got to work.

    When I was done, I admired my work. It was two shadows kissing. It looked very romantic. I put the can back and walked around the park.

    After about thirty minutes, I started to run. I ran around the park in a big loop for about an hour. On my fiftieth lap, I saw Gene and the gang looking at my picture.

    Sasha was drooling over it, and talking excitedly.

    Gene was gaping at it, his mouth open. Zenix looked like he wanted to break something. I think I'm going to see what they think. I ran up to them.

    "Hey, who did that?" I asked them, acting like I didn't do it.

    "I don't know, but whoever did, is an awesome artist." Gene said.

    "Yeah! I love how the shadows look like they're wrapped into each other!" Sasha said.

    "This is the most disgusting picture I've ever seen." Zenix said.

    "Zenix hates love, so he hates this." Sasha told me.

    I laughed.
