Steven taps my shoulder as I watch Finn join Angel on the couch. "Come with me for a sec,"
I obediently follow him to the dining room table where Jaclyn and Cat are waiting and take a seat in the empty chair.
"Topaz, we just got a call from Miami. Peter found a hidden room under Ray's bedroom window and went down to investigate. It is a fully-stocked room that a person could live in for about a year." Steven exhales. "All this time, he was right under our noses."
"He also found clothes." Jaclyn says. She pulls up an image on his phone and shows it to me.
The blue t-shirt is splattered with a red liquid. "Peter did tests at his lab. Topaz, the blood on the shirt is Rays."
My eyes get foggy and my head starts to spin. I'm incredibly dizzy. My stomach is swirling and I feel like throwing up. Steven is calling out to me, but his voice sounds distant and echoey.
I feel my body heave and I crumple off the chair.
