Chapter 13

Colby's POV during the nightmare

I was sleeping pretty okay until I started seeing flashes. Then I was knocked into a dream. I could see Y/n laying in the hospital bed, and the shadow man was standing next to her.

She was looking up at him with a terrified face, I tried to swiftly move towards her, my eyes glued on the man. But I couldn't, something pushed me against the wall and he snapped his head in my direction.

I couldn't speak and I don't think Y/n could see me. "Oh no, you can't save her now. She is mine, I'm connected to her" he said with a grim smile plastered on his face.

He walked towards me and picked me up by my neck, he was very tall, maybe 8 foot? "You guys can't get rid of me now. You made the wrong decision" He said to me, his face only a few inches from mine.

Though he didn't necessarily have a face, I could feel his hot breath. What did he mean by 'we made the wrong decision'? I was starting to freak out a little bit.

It was hard to breathe because of his tightened grip around my throat. I started kicking my feet on the wall in hopes that maybe it wasn't a dream. Maybe I was just going insane.

But no one came, Y/n never looked at me. Her head hung low staring down at her hands, picking at them. He finally pushed me back onto the ground and walked back towards Y/n.

"They should have never came for you, that's why I'm coming for her" He said getting closer to her bedside. She seen the shadow and looked up with tears in her eyes.

I was terrified but I needed to make sure he didn't hurt Y/n more than he already has. "This isn't just a dream Cole, this is your future" he said pointing a long, skinny finger at her.

Tears were by now, streaming down my face. He turned back and lifted her chin up, tapping twice and she opened her mouth. The tall, dark, lanky figure faded into her mouth and then I woke up.

I woke up next to Y/n, she was sound asleep. I was terrified, sobbing and shaking but I didn't want to wake her. So I got up, walked to the chair on the opposite side of her, and sat down.

I cried and cried, He is apart of her now? Because of me? I thought to myself when I heard shifting.

"Colby?" She questioned into the air, I tried to quieten my sobs. "Honey come here" She said as she sat up, hissing through her teeth at the pain.

I got up and walked towards her "come on, down here" she said tugging my arm towards her. I sat down slowly and laid my head on her chest.

"Let it out, it's okay" she said to me, rubbing circles on my back.

I sat there for a little bit, crying onto her. I felt like a big baby, a 25 year old baby that was crying on Y/n. She stayed quiet as I cried. We stayed there for 15 minutes.

My crying slowly started to stop but it was still coming back to my head. "Deep breaths, your okay" she comforted. She held me a little tighter before I leaned up and looked at her.

My red, teary eyes, the wet spot on her chest. She pulled me back into her. Once we pulled away she looked at me with a frown. "What happened?" She asked holding my face.

"It- it was a... night... mare... about the man... he's in you" I replied. She looked at me shocked, like she had seen a ghost. ""What do you mean Colby?" She questioned, a little sternly.

"He's in you" was all I could get out. The visual of the man sinking into her replayed in my mind.

"What?" She said, tears brimming her eyes. "Call the guys" she told me. It was really early in the morning but that didn't stop me, they needed to be here.
