Chapter 25

Alex's POV

I was awaken by Colby who was standing, meaning we are in LA. "Alex come on get up, were about to leave" he said lightly shaking me awake.

I stretched as a I got up and I felt the shaved half of my head. I started to panic, I never had a hair cut.

I fought back tears of losing my hair and left, we got off the plane and I stayed close to Sam and Jake.

I guess Sam could see the worry in my face as we walked around in the airport because he pulled me aside. "What's on your mind? You look worried" he questioned and I shrugged.

I had bad anxiety and I'm not even sure of why I was worried. Could it be the aftermath of the plane? Or meeting new people? Or being far away from the babies I took care of in the orphanage? I don't know.

"Im okay, just a new place" I said, smiling softly at him. "Okay" he replied and we went back to the group.

"You okay kiddo?" Colby asked me and I nodded. "Fine... just in a new place and I have bad anxiety" I said telling him the truth. He pulled me in a reassuring hug and patted my back.

"You're gonna be okay, I'm gonna protect my little sister. Always." He said to me confidently and I smiled at him.

I wish I would have known my brothers, I wish I could've grown up with them, I still have yet to know why my parents gave me up. I thought to myself before I heard the group start talking.

"Alex you ready? We have our bags and we have to go find our car" my brother said to me and I nodded blankly. It was hard to talk because I felt like I could break like a piece of thin glass at any moment.

We walked out of the airport and around a parking lot until we seen a forest green hummer. It was a pretty car not gonna lie.

"Here's the keys babe, your driving"   Y/n said, tossing the car keys to Colby who caught them in one hand.

Sam and Colby were up front, Y/n and I were in the middle while Jake and Corey were in the back.

We drove for a while, everyone talked except me. I usually stayed to myself, I looked out the window most of the time, I love nature... it comforts me.

Later we pulled up to a big house and the car went into park. "Alex, welcome home" Jake said as he opened the door to the mansion and I seen a very open, straight through cut of the house.

It was beautiful, two stories, 6 bedrooms, a bathroom in each except 2 but there were 5 bathrooms in total.

I got one of the rooms that had a bathroom. I was looking around the nice room when Y/n and Colby walked in.

"Hey kiddo" Colby greeted causing me to turn around and see them. "Hey" I said walking to them.

"The rest of the roommates will be here soon, they are our grocery shopping at the moment" he said and I nodded.

"I will call Devyn and see if she will let you wear something of hers for the rest of the night" Y/n said and I smiled. "Okay, thanks" I said and they walked out.

I flopped down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. I really need a shower, new clothes and food. I think I'll be happy here right? I think I'll fit in... I hope so. The very few people I've met seem to like me.

My thoughts were interrupted by Y/n knocking on the door framing. I sat up and looked at her. She was pretty, long y/c/h and bright y/c/e. She had a slim body and she was just a bit taller than me.

"Come with me" she said with a smile that I returned. We walked into a room and went to the closet.

"Find something you like, Devyn said you can wear anything" she said as she sat on the bed.
