Chapter 41

Matt's POV

"Matt, we gotta go to the police station" someone said, shaking me awake. I opened my eyes and it was Corey, but Alex wasn't next to me.

"Where is she? Where'd she go?" I asked frantically, scrambling out of bed. "Hey, take it easy. She's downstairs" Elton said walking into the room.

I sighed in relief and stood up. "Your all right, go shower and I'll give you clothes to wear" Corey said patting my back.

"And make it quick!" Elton called after I shut Alex's bathroom door.

I started the shower and let the water run over my pounding head. "Fucking hangover" I groaned to myself.

I was sobered up some while I tackled Brennen last night but my head still hurts.

I quickly took a cold shower (lets just say it helps his hangover) and wrapped a towel around my waist.

When I walked out of the bathroom back into Alex's, clothes were no where to be seen.

"Damn you Corey" I said under my breath before walking out into the open hallway.

I could see Alex who was making her way to Corey and Devyn's room. She and I made eye contact but she let her eyes roam my body and she blushed at me.

I just smiled and continued walking until she realized I was going to the same room.

"Oh, your coming in here?" She asked me. "Yeah, Corey didn't bring me clothes" I said, loud enough for them to hear me.

"Oh my bad, here ya g- oh?" He started but then cut himself off when he seen me.

"Sorry" he said quietly, looking between Alex and I. "Just give me the clothes, can I change in your room Alex?" I said then turned to her.

"Go for it" she replied and I nodded, grabbing the clothes from Corey and walking away again.

I could hear distant talking from Devyn and Alex. "I think he saw me blush" Alex said, sure enough I did. "When you saw him? Oh for sure he saw you" Devyn said and Alex shrieked.

I really like Alex but after last night, I can't make moves. She needs time and I am going to respect that. Of course I'll be over here helping and staying with her, being her for her. But I promise myself that I'm not going to do anything unless she's ready. I thought as I got dressed.

Colby's POV

Matt soon came downstairs with the rest of us. It would be all of us going incase they ask for everyone.

"Ya'll ready?" I asked and everyone silently nodded and sighed. Me, Y/n, Alex, Matt, and Elton were in my car. Jake, Tara, Aryia, Cassie, and Reggie (he came back over this morning to go with Cassie) in Jake's car.

Corey, Devyn, Sam, Kat, and Aaron were in Sam's car. We all drove to the police station and I walked inside with Matt, Alex, Y/n, Sam, and Elton.

"Hi, were supposed to be here for Brennen Taylor's questioning today" I told the lady. "I'm gonna need to see the victim and all of your relations to them" she stated and Alex stepped forward.

"This is my brother, his girlfriend, and our friends" she said and the lady put a frown on.

"Only immediate family or spouses can be with you when you go for questioning" she told her and Alex sighed.

"It's okay, Colby's got you" Matt told her, giving her a small hug.

"But for the rest of you, you will each be questioned. And we need everyone's names that were involved or in the household" she added and I held a finger up to them as I walked outside.
