Chapter 23

I sat only a few minutes before walking back inside. My eyes landed directly on Y/n who was sitting on her phone, along with the guys.

I sat down side her and leaned on her shoulder. "Hey baby" she said quietly and I smiled, "hi" I said as I lifted up.

"You okay?" She asked and I nodded, "i will be" i said sighing. I seen the guys making motion towards me and I looked up.

"Hmm?" I questioned and they turned to me. "You wanna explain what happened or?" Jake said slowly and I shifted in my seat.

"Yeah, uhm basically Alex is my sister. When I was 16, my parents had her and couldn't take care of her, supposedly sent her to an orphanage and she has been in and out of orphanages and on the streets since she was a baby. I just found out I had a 19 year old sister and my parents left her on her own to come find me" I explained and their faces were swapping moods often.

"Wow, I'm sorry man. Why do you think they had her come find you?" Jake asked and I shrugged. "For me to take her in? I don't know" I questioned myself.

"Do you want to take her in? I mean I know you just found out she's your sister" Y/n asked me and I nodded.

"I want to be there for her, she's 19. That's 19 years that I never knew my little sister, hell I didn't even know my mom was pregnant" I said frowning.

Just then, a doctor walked into the waiting room. "Mr Brock" he called out and I stood up. "She had ruptured a blood vessel and had a brain aneurysm, also what appeared to be stabbed but she is all fixed up. Although I'm sorry to tell you but she is in a coma and we're not sure when she will wake up" he said and I felt myself fall to my knees.

I had no emotions to let out, I was numb. It all happened too fast, everything was too quick for me to comprehend.

I looked up at the doctor, "can I see her?" I asked just above a whisper and he nodded. "3 at a time, room 217" he said walking away.

I stood up and turned around to see everyone staring at me. "I'll be in Tennessee for a little while longer probably" I said and they nodded.

"Only 3 can go in" I said to them, Y/n and Sam stood up. "We will go get everyone food" Corey said. Sam threw the keys at Corey as they walked out.

Once we got to the room I gasped when I saw Alex. A section of her head was shaved, wrapped in gauze. She had bandaging around her waist.

Y/n grabbed my shoulder to try and comfort me. We walked in and shut the door, I pulled a chair up next to her bedside.

I couldn't stand to look at her, I grabbed her hand and put my head on our hands. And I prayed.

"Alex, I know we just met but your my little sister and I'm sorry that mom and dad did you like that. If I found you a little sooner... maybe you would be awake, or talking to us" I said.

"Im gonna tell you a bit about our family and I. We have an older brother, his name is Gage. The people I'm here with are my best friends. Sam, Corey and Jake and my girlfriend Y/n. You will be an aunt soon to Y/n and I's baby. We do YouTube and do exploring videos and ghost hunting" I continued.

"Alex... I-I am so sorry for everything you had to deal with. And I know mom and dad may or may not have had their reasons but I want you to know that I love you. Your my little sister and I want to take you in, come live with us in LA. Have a life with us, get a job, meet people" I said.

Just then her fingers twitched in my hand. I gasped and looked at Y/n and Sam, the two were crying out of my message.

"Alex, do it again please? So I know your listening to me and can hear me" I asked and she twitched again.

The two behind me, stood up in disbelief and came over beside me. "Thank you, can you answer a question for me?" Sam asked and she twitched again.

I nodded to him and he spoke. "How long will you be in a coma?" He asked and she held up 3 fingers. "Three days?" I asked and she twitched again. I smiled and kissed her head as I sat down again.

I ended up falling asleep before Jake and Corey ever brought food. Im not sure how long I was out for. All I know is I was still holding her hand and I was in the chair.

When I woke up, Sam was here, no one else. I yawned and he looked up from his phone at me. "Hey, how'd you sleep?" He asked and I stretched.

"Like absolute dog shit" I said causing him to laugh. "Where is everybody? Also, any new news on Alex?" I questioned.

"Yeah so I convinced Y/n to go back to the hotel with Jake and Corey to get some sleep. Before you panic, she's in our room we rented and not alone just incase her ex showed up. And with Alex, doctors said they detected more brain activity in her than earlier" he said and I sighed with relief.

"Okay good, what time is it?" I asked and he looked back to his phone. "2:39AM, you have been asleep since 10AM yesterday he responded.

"Wow, longest sleep ever. But Sam you can go back to the hotel, I won't be falling asleep anytime soon" I said.

"Your sure?" He asked and I nodded at him as he stood up and grabbed his hoodie. "Yeah, I'll see you later" I said and he pointed to the table. "There's Chipotle if your up for it" he said before leaving.

"Just me and you now" I said smiling at Alex. "I'm sorry I didn't get to you sooner, I could've saved you faster. I wish I had come back before we got out of the building completely. But I wouldn't have found you if it wasn't for Sam, he insisted on checking to see if there were a person inside" I said to her.

"Ill be back in just a minute, I'm gonna go warm my food up sis, give me 5 minutes" I said before grabbing the box and leaving.

I walked down the hall into the elevator to go to the cafeteria where there was a microwave.

It didn't take long since there weren't many people up. But when I got back upstairs and into her hospital room, there were doctors and nurses, 7 of them.

"Hey Colby" Alex said when she seen me. She was awake! "Oh my god, your up" I exclaimed as I hugged her, not too tight.

"Okay, we were waiting for you to get back. Ms. Alex can leave tomorrow if she is doing well" one of the nurses said and I nodded.

"Yep, only a few hours and I'm good. You wanna know the reason I fought to wake up?" She said and I sat down, grinning ear to ear.

I nodded at her as she spoke. "When you said you had to heat up food, my vision started fading and I knew I wasn't going to make it unless you stayed in here with me. I fought to get up for you" she said and it brought tears to my eyes.

"I'm so glad you're awake" I said squeezing her hand slightly. "How are you feeling kid?" I asked and she giggled.

"Just a headache, pain meds are working on me" she replied and I smiled. "So, I heard everything you said, and you want to take me in? And me live with you?" She asked almost shocked.

"Of course, your my sister and I wish I had known because if I did, you would have been with me longer" I said which caused her to smile.

"Well then, about our brother... does he know I exist?" She asked and I shrugged. "Im not sure, I will call him tomorrow when you get home" I said and she smiled.

"Home... I like that" she replied.
