That evening, Rick insisted on driving Molly home. He knew that she was upset about everything involving Cameron. Not only was she worried about him having his father's powers, she was worried about him finding out about how his father died. She was worried about him finding out that she had been lying to him about everything. She was worried that Rick and Yolanda thought he was the enemy. She really couldn't blame them though.

But Cameron wasn't his father.

Molly stood by the window of her bedroom, looking outside into the darkness. It's not like she had a nice view or anything. All she could see was the back porch of her neighbors' house that was illuminated by the two lights hanging on the sides. However, she wasn't really focusing on the scene. Her thoughts were getting to her, as usual.

A pair of arms shaking around her waist caused her to jump slightly, even though she already knew who it was. She heard Rick whispering sweet words of comfort in her ear to calm her down, but she didn't fully hear them. They still caused her to let out a small sigh of comfort, her arms crossing to hold him to her tightly. She always felt so safe with him.

"It's going to be okay," He whispered, pressing a light kiss against her skin.

Her eyes fluttered shut while leaning back against him. She assured him, "I'm okay."

"Are you sure?" He asked her, his grip on her tightening.

She paused before answering truthfully, "This helps."

A shiver went down her spine when she felt his breath against her neck. Without letting going of her, he slowly spun her around so she was facing him. Her arms wrapped around his waist as his hands came up to gently hold the sides of her face, allowing herself to sink into him.

His teeth tugged at his lower lip for a moment before beginning, "Listen, about Cameron-"

"I don't want to talk about Cameron," Molly cut him off while shaking her head. Rick just looked down at her concerned as she turned and placed a kiss on his palm. When she turned to look back up at him, she asked him quietly, "Will you stay tonight?"

He looked down at her sadly before starting to reply, "I don't know if it's a good idea. Tessa's here tonight-"

"We'll lock the door. She won't come in. Besides, she's already in bed," Molly assured him. He still looked contemplative, causing her to take another step towards him so she was flush against him. His thumb began to trace her cheek as she begged, "Please. Please stay. I... I need you."

Rick was already nodding his head before she was even finished, finding it hard seeing her like this. He placed his lips against her forehead and whispered in assurance, "I'm staying, baby. I'm staying."

Her heart fluttered at the small nickname. It came out like he wasn't even thinking about it, and he didn't seem like he was caught of guard by calling her that. It made her fall for him even more. She let out a sigh of relief before saying breathlessly, "Thank you."

Instead of responding, Rick just pulled himself away from her forehead and looked down at her. She felt his hands gently pulling her head towards his. He leaned down and softly kissed her, warmth running all the way down to her toes. When he pulled away slowly, she shot up on her tiptoes and kissed him again, not ready for it to end yet. After a few moments, the two of them pulled away. Molly's head was fuzzy, feeling uncertain where she was even at.

"You said Tessa is asleep?" He double checked. All Molly could manage to do was nod her head, which made him smile lightly, "Okay, I'll be right back."

Molly smiled back at him before he let go of her and walked over to her bedroom door. He walked out to the hallway, assuming he was going to head out to his car to get some clothes. She never understood why Rick had so much clothes in the trunk of his car, but now, she was happy that he did. She bit her lip to contain her smile, still not quite sure how he always managed to make her feel so giddy.
