It had been a few days since Molly learned the truth about her mother, who was a superhero for the Justice Society of America. She was Daydream, and that's why Molly had her powers.

It was now Friday, and she still hadn't given Courtney an answer about joining the JSA. She always thought making the choice whether or not to be a superhero was easy, but it was a lot harder than it seemed. Molly was nowhere close to a superhero. All that was super about her was her brain. Other than that, she was annoying to everybody around her. Plus, she had no idea how she was even supposed to use her powers for good. Or even fight like a superhero.

This is all Molly thought about for the past few days as she worked on the Homecoming decorations. The game and dance were both tonight so Molly had to spend the second half of the school day decorating the gym for the dance. She was annoyed because even though she came up with the theme, Cindy Burman was in charge of everything so it had to be done the way she wanted. She wouldn't let Molly have a say in anything. She knew if Yolanda was the Student Body President, there wouldn't be this problem.

Molly was in charge of painting the Homecoming banner because that was the one job Cindy didn't want to do. Mainly because she didn't want to get paint of her clothes. Luckily, Molly is best friends with the best artist in school so she convinced him to come help her. She was letting him paint everything that needed to look good while she tried to make the letters look somewhat nice.

Randomly, Cameron spoke up, "I want to talk to you about something."

"Talk away," Molly responded without looking up from the 'm' she was painting on the banner.

There was a slight pause before Cameron said, "I think I'm going to ask Courtney to the dance."

Molly's stomach dropped to the floor. She asked in surprise, "What?"

Cameron seemed taken aback. Then, he asked, "Do you not think it's a good idea?"

Normally, Molly would say yes. That it was a great idea, especially since Cameron usually kept to himself and actually wanted to put himself out there. He must like Courtney a lot more than she realized, which made her nervous. Now that she knew Courtney was a superhero, she didn't want Cameron to get involved or get hurt.

"Look, if you don't think it's a good idea, then I won't do it," Cameron spoke again, breaking her out of her thoughts, "You're my best friend, and I just really wanted your advice."

"No, Cam. I'm sorry," Molly immediately replied while shaking her thoughts out of her head, "Of course you should ask her. Just... please be careful."

Cameron gave her a weird look before saying, "I will? You're acting like she's going to kill me."

"I know she's not going to kill you, Cam," Molly replied with a slight eye roll, "But I'm still allowed to worry about you because you're my best friend."

"You've got nothing to worry about, Molls," Cameron assured her. Then, he pulled his paint brush back and stared down at the banner. He stood up, helped Molly up to her feet, and the two of them stepped back to examine the banner.

"I think it looks great!" Molly said happily.

"And I think it looks like a toddler painted the words," Cameron joked.

Molly smacked his arm as he just laughed. Cameron looked down at his watch, and his eyes widened, "Shit, I got to go. I'm going to be late for dinner. I'll see you at the game tonight?"

"Definitely," Molly smiled. Then, she said, "Make sure you shower so you don't have paint all over your hands!"

"Yes, mom," He joked while walking away.
