It has been twelve hours since Rick Tyler was put in jail. Molly, Courtney, and Pat had went down to the police station to try to see if there was anything they could do to help him. There was no luck, causing Molly's heart to fall. Now, Rick is rotting in a jail cell and his hourglass is destroyed. To make matters worse, Courtney informed Molly that Yolanda quit the team. She turned in the Wildcat suit and claimed she would never put it on again due to what happened with Brainwave. Molly couldn't believe it. At the same time as Rick, Beth was also targeted by Eclipso. However, she managed to beat him. Eclipso was targeting their team one by one.
That meant her time was coming soon.
There was a major storm set to hit Blue Valley today, but the JSA knew what the actual cause of it was. Eclipso is getting stronger. The more powerful the storm, the more powerful Eclipso is. With Tessa currently sleeping to prepare for her night shift, Molly currently sat on the couch alone in the living room, trying to clear her mind so she could think of more ways to help her, Courtney, and Beth defeat Eclipso. However, Molly had no ideas. She felt completely useless nowadays.
Molly let out a small sigh before standing up from the couch. When she turned off the television, all she could hear was the rain hitting the windows, small rumbles of thunder mixed in. She crossed her arms around her before walking down the hallway. The next thing for her to do was to do more research on how to get Rick out of jail. When she opened her bedroom door, a loud gasp escaped her lips.
The Shade was leaning against her desk, holding his abdomen in pain. She noticed small slivers of darkness emerging from underneath his hand instead of just bleeding like a normal human. Beads of sweat dripped down his face. He was still wounded from where Eclipso stabbed him. Molly stared at him in shock while quickly closing the door behind her.
"Oh my god!" Molly hissed while rushing over to him. Without even thinking, she placed a hand on his shoulder and asked him, "What are you doing here?! Are you okay?!"
"You called," He simply replied while wincing in pain.
Molly let out a small sigh before motioning over to her bed, "Come on, let's get you laid down."
Molly watched The Shade carefully as the two of them slowly made their way over to her bed. Once The Shade collapsed on the bed, she took a step back and couldn't help, but stare down at him in shock. The Shade was here. In her room, laying on her bed. And he came just because he called her? She couldn't help, but be shocked that he actually came. Especially in this condition.
"Um, can I get you anything?" Molly asked, feeling unsure how to act around him.
He let out a small sigh to relieve some pain before shaking his head. Molly just nodded her head before crossing her arms and taking a step closer to examine the wound. She stared down at it in confusion and asked, "I don't understand. Why aren't you healing? You're immortal, right?"
"You have done your research on me, haven't you?" The Shade asked her, seeming quite impressed that she knew that he could heal with his powers. However, he responded, "Even immortality has its limits."
"Well, is there anything you can do?" Molly asked him.
The Shade hesitated before slowly sitting up. Molly bit her lip nervously while coming over to help him. That's when he answered her question, "There might be, but... I'm still figuring it out. Now, back to the real question. Why did you call me?"
To be honest, Molly didn't know why the first person she called was The Shade. She could've reached out to anybody or simply figured it out on her own. However, The Shade was good at staying out of trouble and covering his tracks. That had to be something, right?
