Chapter 16 - Bunny Night Terrors

Moons POV

When I woke up Y/N was still asleep, they had a lot of it to catch up on, and they were still healing, so I couldn't blame them. I realized I was curled up around them, and they were scrunched up against me. As comfortable as this was, Sun ruined it by screaming at me that they needed space or some shit. I wanted to shut him up, but he was the only thing keeping 𝘪𝘵 at bay. It was like a voice in my head that told me to do terrible things, and I sometimes lost control over my body, and my real self was telling me what I actually wanted to do. I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt Y/N shaking, but not in a cold manner.

Y/Ns POV

𝔻𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕕

I was running from that horrible rabbit masked lady who had the syringe. I glanced back, seeing her chasing after me. I called out for Sun or Moon, maybe they would help me. I ran into a dark room in the basement. I felt around the wall for the light switch, and when I found it, only a small, dim white light came on in the middle of the room. I looked over. Sun- erm- Moon? The combination of the two was there, strapped down with metal clamps to a table. They just seemed to stare ahead, unaware of me. I looked behind me, I had taken too long inspecting Sun and Moon, the rabbit lady grabbed my arm, I screamed, and suddenly she fell apart in to pieces of code. I looked over at Sun and Moon. Big chunks of code appeared next to them, and it materialized the rabbit girl, now with a can of gasoline and a box of matches. I shook my head, somehow knowing what she was going to do. She doused Sun and Moon in gasoline. I made a mad dash towards them, but she had already lit the match and threw it on them. She disappeared again. I ran up to Sun and Moon as they screamed in agony, both of their voices overlapping. I hugged them, feeling the fire burn my clothes and skin. I held onto them tight as they writhed and screamed.

I finally got the fire to stop, but they were burned beyond recognition. I layed their head in my lap, gently stroking their burnt up face. I spoke in a shaky voice, riddled with tears.

-"Sun.. Moon.. Don't.. Don't leave me.."

Their head moved ever so slightly to look at me. They shakily and stiffly moved one of their hands to my burnt up face. I leaned my head into their hand, but didn't put a lot of pressure on it. Their burnt eyes widened, and they made a glitchy sound. I felt something sharp stab into my back. I looked down to see the tip of a knife sticking out my chest. Sun and Moon intertwined their fingers with mine, and I fell on top of them. In my final moments I saw the white rabbit with a crowbar, and she brought it down on Sun and Moons face.

Moons POV

Y/N tossed and turned and I made sure nothing happened to the wires on them. As much as I hated those damned wires, to the best of my knowledge, they were keeping Y/N alive.

-"Sun.. Moon.. Don't leave.. Me.."

I looked down at Y/N, their voice was shaky and tears rolled down their face. They were still asleep though. I took their hand, and they suddenly gripped onto my hands hard. It didn't hurt, but was a little uncomfortable.

-"We aren't going to leave you, Starlight.."

I didn't know if they could hear me, but I hope they did. They suddenly shot up, and screamed.

-"NO!"

I was a little startled, but took their hand again.

-"Y/N?"

They looked over at me with tears in their eyes. They came closer to me, and cried into my chest. I wasn't sure what happened, but I'm glad they weren't scared of me like the last nightmare. They clung onto me like they were about to fall or something. I just gently stroked their hair, I felt my body heating up, why? What was happening? Why did me and Sun only malfunction around them? The way we felt near them was different than any other. They finally started to calm down, but was still crying and clinging onto me.

-"Y/N? Are you ready to talk?"

They looked up at me, and slowly nodded, wiping their eyes and face. I took their hand in mine, gently stroking it with my thumb.

-"How about you tell me what happened.."

They looked away, taking a deep breath. I was silent, awaiting their answer.

Y/Ns POV

I told Moon about my nightmare. The worst one yet. I told him about the rabbit chasing me, them being set on fire, me being stabbed through the chest, and the rabbit lady landing a final blow to them. Moons grip on my hand tightened. It hurt a bit, but I didn't complain, I didn't want him to let go, so that I knew he was there. After a few moments, he sighed.

-"We would never let that happen."

-"I know- but it was just.. Really scary.. And.."

-"We're here now, and we'll always be here. Don't forget that."

I nodded, and he let go of me, getting out of the hospital bed and stretching. I turned around in the bed, laying on my side, facing away from him. I closed my eyes, but the lights suddenly came on. I scrunched my eyes closed, sheilding them with one of my hands. I turned to be on my back again. Sun skipped over happily and sat down with a box.

-"I got board games and arts and crafts stuff! Wanna try something?"

I smiled at him.

-"Sure, Sunny."

He opened the box in his lap and started sifting through it. He pulled out a box of Uno cards. Oh boy, this was gonna be fun.
