Chapter 31 - First Night Back

Y/Ns POV

I had been in the hospital for three days but I was still crying. How could they leave me like this? How could they let them take me? My thoughts were spinning when I heard a knock at the door. After a few seconds Charlie stepped in with a cardboard box.

-"Hey Y/N- woah, are you still crying?"

I quickly tried to wipe my face but it was obvious. Charlie came up and set the box by my feet, looking at me sympathetically.

-"Stop crying, I got a surprise for ya."

I tilted my head. What could he possibly have? He took his phone out and opened a FaceTime app. Who is he calling? I started wiping my eyes and trying to force myself to stop crying, and I somehow did. I heard Charlies phone ringing someone. He stepped out of the room for a second.

I heard talking outside, but I couldn't make out anything. He stepped in with the screen facing him.

-"You ready to see your favorite animatronic?"

-"What?"

He flipped the screen towards me, and I saw that familiar cheery face. The one that belonged to Sun. He smiled at me and his mouth moved to say words, but I heard nothing. Charlie looked over at the phone.

-"Sun, your muted."

Suns rays shrunk a little and he looked down a little. The little red mic icon went away and he laughed while repeating what he had said.

-"Hi Sunshine!"

As much as I wanted to be mad at him, I couldn't help but smile.

-"Hi Sunny!"

-"How's it been.. Eh- here..?"

-"Well, I have to get new stitches on my arm, but they gave me a bunch of medicine, so I'm not throwing up anymore."

He smiled.

-"So you're getting better?"

-"Yep."

-"When are they gonna let you out?"

-"This weekend."

-"Great!"

There was some background noise and he looked away from the camera.

-"Oh, well, I have to go, there's something in the box for you, bye bye Sunshine!"

He hung up the call. Charlie put his phone back in his pocket.

-"Sorry we had to call during work hours, but he was able to get away for a good amount of time!"

-"Yeah.."

-"Anyways, I gotta get back to work, I'll see you later."

I nodded and he set the box closer to me, leaving. I looked out the window and eventually saw him getting to his car and driving away. I looked at the box, what could possibly be in it? I slowly unfolded the top. Inside were two plushies. A Sun plushie and a Moon plushie. I carefully took them out of the box, looking them over. I hugged them tight to my chest, maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

When I was finally let out, I was handed the paper, and again, it said $0 due with a note by "S.M." who was it? Charlie took me out to his car and drove me home. I was told not to go to work for at least 3 days, but I'm still going in for my night shift. Once I got home I immediately took a shower, and put new bandages over my arm, cause it still needed that. I set my alarm to wake me up for my night shift and threw my Sun and Moon plushies as well as my Monty one on the bed, then went to sleep.
