It had been a month or two since the whole thing with the mirror. I was slowly beginning to accept myself again, after a long time of hiding away in my room. We had gotten the mirror repaired, but I had put the cloth back over it. Sun was in my room, building a Lego set I had bought him for when he got bored. I stood in the bathroom, staring at the covered mirror. I kept willing myself to uncover it, to finally look at myself again without breaking something. I eventually built up the courage to do it, reaching for the cloth. I tugged it off of the mirror, and I saw myself. My face. My arms. My hands. My neck, where another bite mark resided. . . It's pretty obvious what happened with that. I focused more on my arms and face though. The burns. My breathing intensitied as more images flashed in my head. Memories coming back, ones that I wish remained forgotten.

-"Sunshine?"

The voice felt far away and muffled. It felt like the room was spinning. I kept staring at myself in the mirror, and the me in the mirror stared back. I heard another muffled, far away word, but it was too far for me to make it out. There was a ringing noise filling my ears. I heard yet another word. Was it a word? I saw Sun drop down next to me, taking my shoulders and shaking me from the mirror, but I didn't feel anything. I just kept staring into my own eyes. More memories filled with flames and fear filled my mind. In my memories, I closed my eyes, and a inky black darkness was all around me. I heard muffled voices, but I couldn't see. I couldn't move. I couldn't feel. I had tried so hard to do something-- anything. But nothing happened. I was trapped. A prisoner in my own body.

-"Y/N PLEASE!"

I snapped out of my trance. I blinked, now noticing the tears flowing down my face. I looked at Sun. I had heard so much fear in his voice. He stopped shaking me, sighing in relief. I wiped my eyes, blinking a few more times.

-"Fire."

Suns face somehow got more concerned than it already had.

-"What?"

-"I saw fire. I saw the play structures collapsing. I saw you."

I paused for a second, getting caught on my words.

-"I saw a black void, that I couldn't get away from. I could hear, but I couldn't feel. I couldn't move, or see. I couldn't do anything.. I was trapped.."

Sun pulled me into a hug, sighing.

-"I was hoping you'd never remember that.."

I buried my face in his shoulder, hugging him back.

-"What happened..?"

-"We were in the daycare... You woke me up and there was smoke everywhere. I jumped down from the balcony with you and the daycare was full of flames-- the whole pizzaplex was. Your sleeve caught on something, and it burned your arm pretty badly.. We were almost to the exit.. But you couldn't go anymore.. You told me and Moon that you knew you weren't going to make it.. You were passed out the rest of the time while we ran with you outside, where there were ambulances and fire trucks and police cars.. They kept you alive.."

He tightened his hug, seeming to think for a second.

-"And you not being able to wake up, that was because you were in a medically-induced coma while you healed. I never thought it would be like that for you."

He planted a kiss on my head.

-"I'm sorry."

He picked me up, standing up. He walked out to the hall, then went downstairs. He sat down on the couch with me, and I layed my head on his chest.

It was dark out now, and I was sitting next to Moon, watching TV on the couch. He reached over to the remote, pausing the TV.

-"Hey, Y/N, get your shoes on."

-"Huh? Why?"

-"I wanna go do something."

He got up, going up the stairs. What was he up to? I got up, going over and putting my shoes on. Moon hurried back down the stairs. He took my hand, leading me out the back door. We went out to the side of the house, where a ladder was. He gestured for me to climb up first. I raised my eyebrow, then climbed the ladder. He followed me up. On the roof, there was a blanket and a few pillows-- it looked a lot like the little setup on top of the play structure. Once Moon got up on the roof and was standing, he took my hand again, sitting down with me on the blanket.

-"What's this about?"

Moon stared forward, then took a deep breath.

-"Do you remember the first time we met, I mean 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 met, when I wasn't trying to hurt you."

-"Yeah, we were on top of one of the play structures, and there was this big fake sky on the ceiling."

-"And what about when I.. Confessed.. To you?"

-"Same place."

-"We shared some of the biggest moments between us up there. Since we cant be there anymore, I wanted to be in a place that resembled it to do this."

-"To do what?"

Moon looked up at the sky, tightening his grip on my hand. He took another deep breath, letting go of my hand. He stood up, reaching into his pocket.

-"Y/N. We love you. More than anything. You were our first. You helped us learn how to love."

I raised an eyebrow, what was he saying? He got down on one knee, pulling out the black box that Charlie had a few months ago.

-"What I'm saying is.."

He opened the box, and inside was a ring-- a real ring. Charlie must've gotten it for him, because I don't know how else he would've gotten it. I stared at it in shock. Was he really proposing to me?

-"Y/N, will you marry us?"

That gave me my answer, yes, he was. I smiled, happy tears filling my eyes. I jumped up and hugged him tightly.

-"Yes! Why wouldn't I?"

Moon set the box down carefully, hugging me back. He backed his head up to look at my face. We looked into each other's eyes, and he smiled. He leaned down, and we kissed under the stars.

I shed a tear as I say goodbye to this story. It was truly wonderful to write this, and to see how people read it and seemed to enjoy it. My chest feels tight as I write this.

But do not worry! When one story ends, another begins.. I will be starting a new story, it will again be a Sun/Moon x Reader; A Celestials Guardian. (Update, that's not the next story I'm working on now, it is published, but it's on hiatus, there's a different book I'm making that launches on January 29th, 2023) I hope people who came along this journey with me will join me on this next one. Now, it's 4 in the morning as I type this, goodnight.

And thank you, thank you all for reading my story, for being my motivation to keep writing.

Signing out on this story, SunnySimulation.
