Once the photoshoot was over I made my way to the police station where my mom and aunt was.
When I walked in I spotted them and went over to where they was.
"Mama what happened?" I asked. Her eyes was puffy as Keoni sat beside her so I pulled him up and allowed for him to sit on my lap.
"Um, Keoni let's go get something from the vending machine." Teyana said and he hopped up and I watched them walk away.
"Mama." I looked at her puffy eyes.
"We got into an argument four days ago about the divorce and he left. But he hasn't been back and that's not like him even if we're on bad terms he still would check up on me and the kids and his phone keeps going straight to voicemail." She said.
"Did you call his brother?" I asked and she nodded her head.
"That's where he went when he left but his brother said when he left his house he didn't say where he was going." She said.
"What was the argument about?" I asked.
"He doesn't wanna go along with the divorce anymore so I told him to tell me the truth about what he did. I should've just dropped the whole situation it happened over ten years ago and it had nothing to do with me. I'm so stupid to believe that he would've killed a child." She ranted and the whole time I was just thinking about Keilan.
"Did he ever tell you why?" I asked and she nodded her head.
"It wasn't about money, it was never about money. They set his sister up not knowing she had her kids with her and her daughter got killed instead of her. Reagan acted like she was friends with her and set her up for her boyfriend. Semaj didn't get along with his sister but his nieces and nephews mean everything to him." She said.
"Why didn't he say that to begin with?" I said.
"I don't know." She said.
"I have to go." My voice cracked.
"Serayah where- I just have to go." I cut her off. "I'll call you okay, I love you." I have her a hug as a tear slipped before I left.
The thought of anything bad happening to Semaj just makes my heart sink. He's treated me like his own since he's been with my mom. But if it's one thing I do know, is that Keilan is really trying me right now

When I got to his house I used the key that he gave me to get in back when we were on good terms.
"KEILAN." I yelled walking in trying to find him.
"What the fuck you doing?" He popped up in the living room wearing some black joggers while shirtless.
"What the fuck did you do?" I said.
"What is you talking about, you can't be here." He raised his voice.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?" I yelled out of frustration.
"WHAT THE FUCK YOU TALKING ABOUT?" He yelled back.
"Where's Semaj?" I asked and he looked away clenching his jaws.
"Man gone wit that shit Serayah." He said.
"Keilan please tell me you didn't." I looked at him.
"I don't know what you talking about." He said.
"Kado I swear if anything happened to him- What?" He cut me off.
"Why should I give a fuck if something happen to him that nigga shouldn't even be breathing right now don't know why you even came to me wit that bullshit." He said.
"HE HELPED RAISE ME WHAT YOU MEAN- AND HE TOOK AWAY THE PEOPLE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO RAISE ME." He cut me off.
"You know what I'm so sick and tired of feeling sorry for you." I said.
"Feeling sorry for me?" He looked me in my eyes.
"Yes I feel so sorry for you because you think your parents being killed is an excuse for how you treat everybody around you, i'm so sorry that because you don't love yourself you bring down every woman you deal with emotionally but hey how could you not do that when your father did the same thing to your mom. You wanna talk about what Semaj did let's talk about what your father did to get himself and your mom killed." I said and he chuckled.
"Serayah imma tell you now cause I care about you and I don't wanna hurt yo' feelings, get the fuck out and I mean that in the most nicest way possible." He said.
"Oh so now you care about me? You don't care about nobody but yourself I hate that I even tried to ignore what everybody was sayin' about you when everything you said to me was a front." I said.
"I never fronted wit you, if anything you the only person I felt like I needed to keep it real wit. I never tried to play wit you Serayah cause you was the only person on my side." He said.
"Well you fucked that up Kado, you fucked up your bond with me because you can't respect the fact I wanted a genuine friendship." I said.
"I thought you was so different from everybody else, you just like em'. I told you bout every time Ayanna threw my parent situation in my face and here you go doing the same thing." He said.
"Because you need to tell me where Semaj is. You can be mad at Semaj all you want but at least he didn't kill a child." I said.
"What?" I asked.
"Semaj was just getting his get back from when your mom set somebody up because your father told her to." I said.
"Nah." He shook his head chuckling.
"It's the truth." I said.
"You know what since you wanna come to me wit shit about my family, how bout you go back to playin' besties wit yo' sister oh my fault i mean Chanel." He said.
"What?" I looked at him.
"Go ask yo' pops what he did while yo' mama was pregnant wit you." He said.
"Kado what you doing come back to bed i'm tryna go to slee-." The girl walked in with one of his shirts on.
"I'm coming hollon." He looked back at her.
"Nah you don't gotta hold on, I was just leaving. I have to go talk to my father that's still alive." I smiled bitterly at him and he smirked at me looking me and down. I just rolled my eyes and slammed his door leaving. _____________________________________
