"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Thank you for giving me the courage to put my first story out there, Lord. As well as helping me realize that if I can't change Pixelberry's mind about a sequel, I can at least do something else about it.

Wow! I can't believe that this has come to an end. When I first started writing this story, I did it to help myself get closure since Pixelberry dropped the ball and disappointed not only myself, but so many others with that horrible ending. After I wrote a couple chapters I figured why not put it out there in the world for everyone to enjoy- what have I got to lose?

I never imagined it would get over 2,000 reads! Your support for my story and love for Distant Shores is something I'm so appreciative of every day. Seriously, y'all are awesome people.

I would like to take a moment to thank the ones who made it possible:

Pixelberry- As annoyed as this company makes me, I do need to thank you for creating Distant Shores and all these wonderful characters in the first place.

The Distant Shores Facebook Group- I was beyond excited when I discovered this group and the fact that I was trusted enough to be a moderator is such a honor! Thank you all for being such an amazing crew and thanks for helping to keep Distant Shores alive.

Caitlin, Mella Bella, LadyLamrian, Natalia- Your friendship online can only be surpassed by your friendship offline. Thank you for being real, genuine, and helping me with my frustrations throughout this whole process, and with life in general. I know you guys have my back and I'll always have yours. Who would have thought an app game fandom would lead to this? I'm blessed to have you in my life.

My fur/scale babies- Blueberry Spicehead (dog) Milkshake (cat) Cannoli (guinea pig) Croissant (bearded dragon). Thank you for letting mama cry and snuggle you whenever things got rough. Also I'm sorry for getting tears on you in July of 2020 when I had to say goodbye to my favorite book. You didn't understand why mama was upset, but you just curled up and stayed with me.

Lastly my fiancé Brian- I couldn't have done any of this without you. You are the most incredible man and I loved bouncing ideas off you and getting your input with this story. Just like our babies you spent all of July comforting me, but you also encouraged me to do something about it. Thank you for being as protective as Edward. Thank you for being as adventurous as Charlie. Thank you for being as loyal as Oliver. I can't wait to be your wife.

If you're interested, check out the distantshoresproject on tumblr. I'm the first mate of this project and it's a playable sequel to Distant Shores, just like It Lives Within. If you want to read more of my works check out my personal tumblr page: jdstar88. I plan on writing more Choices and Romance Club fan fics. I do have plans for my master list as well. It just may take a while to come together since I'm getting married next month, so my focus is on my wedding.

This was my first big story and for the time being, it will be my only story here on Wattpad. I hope you enjoyed being reunited with MC, Edward, Oliver, Charlie, Maggie, Kendrick, Jonas, Ginny, Henry, Ax, Ada, Samuel, Octavia, Doyle, Alvarez, and of course Robert. I also hope you enjoyed meeting new characters like Magdalena, Monterey, Havelock, and all the other Tritons. It was an absolute privilege to bring this story to life.

See ya real soon! And always follow the distant shores to your dreams. God Bless!
