Haseena reached the market and decided to stake out the location in the nearby garage. Cheetah was in the opposite building connected with her by call.

Her mind wandered to Karishma. The warmth of her embrace. Her tears. The way she left her hand when she had broke her heart. Cheetah's voice on call interrupted her train of thoughts.

"Maddam sir uh entrance mein se dho car godown ki taraf badd rahi. Humare khyaal se ek ek car mein 4-5 log hai. Kareeban cheh log hai."

"Hmm theek hai Cheetah Chaturvedi update karte raho."

"Maddam sir oou..."

"Kya haii."

"Woh Karishma Maddam unke saat hai."

Karishma's name, her mere presence in the same place as hers made her heart beat faster.

Haseena took her gun out and proceeded to the entrance. Her aim was to retrieve Karishma. The exchange could go to hell and the crime department with it. They had not trusted the Police department with the Mission but wanted Karishma to run the undercover operation risking her life. It never settled well with her and Karishma was not ready to listen. She walked in prone and stood behind the pillar. From where she stood she could see 5 men walking up inside the godown and beside them was Karishma.

She realised that the cops were going to be outnumbered but they had enough numbers if her intention was to make a bargain. They have to let Karishma leave with her and there would be no bloodshed.

Haseena's heart ached looking at her. Her hand was covered in a dirty bandage. It pained her how her Karishma looked unrecognisable even to her. Her eyes looked merciless and she held a gun in her hand ready to strike. Haseena understood that the whole thing was staged by the department to introduce Karishma into the family. To make it seem as if she'd flipped to their side.

A corrupt cop gone rogue.

Just then another group made it there. This was the Silagaur family's group Haseena observed. They were speaking about something but she couldn't hear anything. It seemed like the family's group had upset the other one. Haseena wasn't able to make out anything and then suddenly they all took out their guns pointing it at each other. Except Karishma.

Karishma slowly walked forward, to the Silagaur gang's side. She said something and that seemed to make them angry. She walked until the barrel of the gun held by a guy was on her forehead. The men and a couple of women from the Silagaur gang laughed at something Karishma had said and the guy holding the gun to her head shook her hand as if he'd known her for eternity.

Karishma Singh and her charm Haseena thought to herself.

"Cheetah Chaturvedi backup agayi hai kya?" Haseena whispered. She looked back at Karishma and where the gang stood.

"Ji maddam sir. Ready to strike on your call."

"Surround karo godown ko." Haseena whispered instructions.

Karishma was still talking to the gang but stiffened. She looked at where Haseena stood and Haseena moved quickly before Karishma could catch her glimpse.

"Cheetah, NOW." She said. Three cops barged in from the entrance. Three others from the back entrance. The gang was not outnumbered but they didn't have any escape either. They pointed their guns towards the police and there was a stand off happening where neither of the parties were moving nor were they shooting. The police warned the gang to put down their guns which they obviously didn't abide. Haseena was about to make her way there.

She was having her eye on the entrance and hadn't noticed Karishma moving away from the gang and towards her. She was startled when she felt a familiar tug on her wrist. Karishma twisted Haseena's hand and held her hand behind her back pressing her against the pillar, leaving mere inches between them.

Strawberries..Haseena sighed. Their proximity seemed to reduce the pain she had found herself in since that fateful night. She forgot about the damned situation they were in and just inhaled the scent that oozed comfort and closed her eyes for a mere second longer.

"Aap yahaan ka kar rahi hai maddam sir?" Karishma asked in a hoarse voice startling Haseena, bringing her out of her comfort.

Her eyes were as Haseena already noticed, sad and merciless. And Karishma's eyes never lied. Haseena always understood the language Karishma's eyes spoke and that's why she cringed at the way Karishma was looking at her. Absolutely emotionless. All the love they once held every time they landed upon her was gone.

Haseena's one hand was locked behind her back. She raised her other hand slowly wanting to touch Karishma's face and Karishma's facade faltered anticipating her touch. She instinctively leaned to the direction of Haseena's hand. But then something in her cracked. As if she had pressed a refresh button and had gained her senses back from wherever they were lost on seeing Haseena.

"Chale jayiye yahaan se. Aapke team ko lekar. Nahi toh-" Karishma whisper-shouted furiously.

Haseena was infuriated. And before the reasonable voice in her head could stop her, she started talking.

"Nahi toh kya Karishma Singh. Kya kar lengi aap?" Haseena huffed, all the repressed anger resurfacing all at once. She protested against Karishma's hold and successfully retrieved her hand.

Karishma overlooked the situation prevailing behind them. The gang was pointing their guns at the cops. The cops were outnumbered. Bloodshed was inevitable and she knew that Haseena knew it too. She also knew Haseena had come only to retrieve her.

Unless...

Karishma moved swiftly and gripped Haseena's wrist, twirling her. She then put her hand around Haseena's waist pulling her towards her away from the cover offered by the pillar. They were out in clear view for everyone to see. Various pairs of confused eyes landed upon them. Karishma shot a bullet in the air gaining everyone else's attention. She was holding Haseena from behind.

She had nabbed Haseena's gun already. Haseena realised what Karishma was about to do. She was about to be the gangs' and Karishma's escape ticket.

With tears, she looked at the gun pointed at her head not missing the slight shiver in the hand holding it. At that moment, she realised that she could also momentarily hate the person she loved the most.
