Haseena touched the place where Shivani had managed to stab her. She gasped as she removed the tool from the side of her stomach. The wail of the kid in her hand barely a year or two old brought her out of her pain. She remembered that she had to hurry in spite of how quickly she was losing her blood and how dizzy that made her, she held the kid and covered her with the blanket from the adjacent bed. The kid somehow seemed to sense how Haseena was only trying to protect her and her cries subsided slowly and Haseena despite her pain smiled as she put her chubby arms around Haseena's neck getting comfortable in her embrace. She took small steps getting out of the room. Her gut feeling was constantly warning her that the building could blow up anytime. She took the lift and her heart continued to pound in its cage warning her of the danger she was in.
Iss bachi ki jaan ko bachana hai aur bas ek baar, ek baar Karishma se mil lengey, unke baahon mein khud ko kho dengey toh hum khushi khushi humare jaan ko aapko dey dengey bas ek baar. She prayed.
Karishma, still helping in the evacuation outside the hospital turned back as she heard the nerve wracking sound of the bomb going off in the hospital she was inside mere seconds ago. Her heart stopped beating for a second remembering that the person who mattered the most to her was nowhere to be seen. It then sunk, realising that Haseena could have probably not made it outside in time. The debris was now everywhere rendering the onlookers including blind.
"HASEENA." Karishma's loud scream was heard by everyone who surrounded the hospital. The debris was still settling down but Karishma didn't care as she ran towards the entrance of the collapsed building that was once a hospital. Her leg struck onto a rock as she ran and her body met with the pavement as she fell injuring herself badly but she got up as if nothing had happened and continued to run towards the entrance.
"HASEENA." She shouted yet again. The fact that Haseena could not be alive and breathing settled in on her and that's when tears came flowing unrestricted as she continued to run. She had almost reached the entrance and then she collapsed, her knees bleeding badly from her recent fall, her clothes torn, her body covered in dust and blood, she was a sorry sight. She shouted Haseena's name once more and continued to wail hopelessly.
She looked back at the entrance again, her vision blurred by her uncontrollable tears. A white walking bundle emerged from the debris and fire then threw off the wet blanket covering its form. Haseena had somehow made it outside the tiny kid still securely sleeping in her arms. Her wound was however bleeding and her light blue shirt was bloody all over the front.
"Hasee." Karishma whispered, finding the strength to get up and cover the distance between her and Haseena and Haseena who held her life just to catch a glimpse of Karishma before letting it go, put down the kid safely on the pavement before collapsing in Karishma's arms.

"Ab woh kaisi hai Doctor kuch toh boliye!"
"Hum abhi kuch keh nahi sakte Ms Singh aap apne gaavn ka dressing toh kar lijiye pehle infection ho jayega."
"NAHI. HASEENA SE MILNA HAI HUMKO." Karishma's loud voice echoed into the ICU where Haseena laid. Haseena could hear all this but the effects of drugs seem to take over and she gave in to it for the pain was so bad it made her want to scream.
The next time she gained consciousness was when the cries of a kid got uncontrollable and the person handling her got impatient.
"Yeh kya musibat humare pale mein parr gayi! Ama Bak! Chup ho jao! Amma aap isko sambhalo humsey nahi hoga."
"Ale le ajao humare paas. Karishma inke maa baap ke baare mein patah laga rahi hai Santu. Tab tak hum aur Noor inko sambhal lete hai. Aap Maddam sir ko dekhiye."
