54. Everything goes

Karishma opened the door to the entire family standing there including Santosh and Cheetah and even Billu. Karishma yet again didn't meet Cheetah's eyes and invited all of them inside. Pushpa ji quickly went to Haseena wanting to meet Yuki and Ammi followed her enthusiastically and thankfully they had brought dinner with them.

It was going to be a long night. Both Haseena and Karishma knew they were all here to plan for the wedding and to meet them after the life threatening situation they had been in and in spite of their love for the people present there, both of them were guilty for wanting that night for each other, to be in just each other's company. But they had already accepted their fate as Ammi took Yuki in her hands and Pushpa ji enthusiastically started taking plates out in order to have dinner.

Karishma went to the kitchen to avoid Cheetah.

"Karishma maddam." Cheetah said, following Karishma to the kitchen.

"Haan bolo Cheetey. Kuch chahiye tumko." Karishma asked still not meeting his eyes.

"Karishma maddam ooh uss din jo hua usmein aapki koi galati nahi thi. Aap-"

"Humko madam sir bula rahi hai shayad." Karishma said exiting the room but Cheetah's voice stopped her.

"Galati humse hua Karisma madam aur humsey baat tak nahi karengi humare galati ke kaaran. Sorry Karisma madam par humse baat toh dang se kijiye." Cheetah begged. Karishma turned looking at him with a melancholic smile.

"Ama tumhara koi galati nahi tha. Humare wajah se kitni takleef hui thi tumko. Sorry Cheete. Ho sake toh humme maaf kar dho." Karishma was about to join her hands and Cheetah held her hands.

"Karishma madam inn haathon se kitne baar humko chamat maara hai toh usi ko maintain kijiye aap. Humare Karishma madam bhaukal karte hue hi achi lagti hai. Aapne jis takleef se gusri hai usse toh humara takleef kam hi tha. Humko garv hai ki aapke mission mein chote hi sahi ek hissa toh bann paaye hum." Cheetah and Karishma smiled, the burden she'd carried within her was finally resolved and she couldn't be happier.

"Karu!" Haseena's voice echoed and Karishma smiled at Cheetah before going to Haseena. Haseena hadn't even realised that she had used Karu instead of Karishma and silence prevailed in the living room where everyone was present.

"Haan Hasee boliye." Karishma replied, she was at Haseena's side within seconds expectantly looking at her.

"Achaa Karu chalta hai yahaan." Ammi taunted and Yuki giggled as if she could understand and Haseena closed her eyes both in embarrassment and also because she couldn't control the smile that had made it to her face.

"Nahi Noor behen Haseeee ka bhi raj lagta hai." Pushpa ji exclaimed excitedly pulling her daughters' leg. Karishma held her forehead like she always did, hiding her face.

"Amma oh khaana ho jayein humko bhook lagi hai aur Hasee ko dawai lena ka time hai. Haseena ji apse kuch baat karni hai." Karishma gestured to the bedroom and Haseena got up. Pushpa ji and Ammi smirked at each other.

"Ji hukumat." Pushpa ji said dramatically.

"All the best Karishma madam." Santu said, with a thumbs-up making them more uncomfortable and Karishma pulled Haseena's hand taking her to the confines of their bedroom.

"Kya baat hai Karu." Haseena asked, her face contorted in worry as she had seen Karishma and Cheetah in the kitchen conversing briefly.

"Nahi bas isko lautaana chahtey tey." Karishma tried to remove the ring she had originally bought for Haseena, however it didn't budge. Karishma tried again but it stayed on her finger.

"Arrey kya deet-"

"Humare engagement ring ke baare mein hum kuch nahi sunenge. Shayad kuch khaas pal ka intezar hai tab tak pehen lijiye na karu please?" Haseena asked holding Karishma's hand wanting to exchange the ring when she was to propose to Karishma as planned and Karishma as always melted at the slightest display of affection by Haseena. She however didn't know why Haseena had asked her to not remove the ring.
