Haseena was on her way to MPT with the suspect when a bike overtook her jeep out of nowhere and she pulled the brakes hastily putting the car to a stop. The sudden stop of the car had led to the dust on the road to raise up restricting Haseena's view of the person standing in front of her."Aap thik hai?" Haseena asked, getting down from her Jeep.
“Burey halaat mein chodi thi aapne humme, ab aap hi dekkar bata dijiyega hum thik hai ke nahi.." Haseena froze where she stood when she heard her voice and looked at Karishma. Karishma was wearing a black leather jacket her hair tied back in a ponytail and of course she wore her signature aviators.
Karishma walked towards her and Haseena's hand instinctively rested on her gun holster. She didn't know what triggered her to do that. Was it because in the past three months she had been reminiscing about the time Karishma held her gun to her head? She had replayed that scene in her head so many times that it had started giving her nightmares.
Karishma noticed this and stopped walking and the realisation of Latika Gosh being in the jeep with them in a clear view hit her suddenly.
"Ms. Singh..." karishma raised her eyebrow at being referred by just her surname by Haseena.
"Ms Mallik, ka kar rahi hai aap baar baar aise humare raste ke beech aah jaati hai. Jaanti hai na aap humare TAREEKON ke baare mein..bura hoga aapke liye soch lijiye."
Haseena narrowed her eyes at Karishma. She didn't miss the taunt that Karishma had thrown at her.
"Pichle theen maheenon mein toh police se bhaag rahi thi aur ab itni dialoguebaazi suit nahi karta hai Ms. Singh. Humari rasta se hat jayiye warna ek police officer ko apne duty karney se rokne ki ilzaam par aapko bhi giraftaar karengey." Haseena warned Karishma pointing her index finger at her and the khauf with which she spoke made Karishma smirk. She leaned back onto her bike seat crossing her arms.
"Lagta hai humsey kuch seekh hi gayi aap aakhir. Warna jajbaaton se hi khoon kara deti na kahaan aap giraftar karti kisi ko bina koi wajah." Karishma said provoking Haseena.
"Seeda muddey pe ayiye aise faltu cheezon ke liye na hi humare paas waqt hai na hi aapse baat karney ki dil chaspi." Haseena said and leaned behind on her Jeep bonnet with attitude raising the pace in which Karishma's heart was beating. Her aura was something else. It was indescribable the way her demeanor was captivating. No wonder Karishma fell head over heels for her. It was inevitable. She eyed Haseena top to toe taking in her beauty, the single strand of hair that was bothering her by tickling her forehead, the way she held her head up high, the way her face was a perfect sculpture and not to her mention everything else that had once belonged to Karishma. She noticed how Haseena's expression reprimanded her lustful gaze. The fact that Haseena knew the kind of gaze she was under alarmed Karishma and she felt her cheeks warming up at being caught.
"Humari ik cheej aapke paas hai. Usse lauta dijiye aur hum chale jayengey." Karishma said shaking her head slightly bringing herself out of the trance under which Haseena's simple act had put her in.
Latika hopefully looked from the jeep elated at how Karishma had come for her unaware of how Karishma was talking about something else.
"Aapke CHEEZ?." Haseena chuckled. "Ek aap hi hai joh ek jinda aadmi ko cheez keh sakti hai. Aap toh police force mein thi na Ms. Singh. Jaanti toh hongi hi humare formalities ko. Aap chahti toh inkey saat aah sakti hai. Par haan thaane mein humko koi drama nahi chahiye got it?" Haseena warned and the use of that term reminded Karishma of how they had once fought in the middle of the road and how it had led to their first kiss. The sweet memory evoked various emotions inside her and looking at Haseena, she realised that those memories must no longer matter to her. I am irrelevant to her..
