21. Waqt

"Karishma?"

"Hmm?"

"Humme aapse pyaar ho gaya hai." Haseena declared with her head still propped on Karishma's shoulder.

Karishma moved so quickly to see Haseena's face and the sincerity it reflected made her smile. Her eyes were moist with un-shed tears and she rested her forehead against Haseena's.

"Ka boli aap Haseena?" She enquired with disbelief.

"Ki hum aapsey pyaar kartey hai. I love you Karishma Singh." Haseena said with assertiveness.

"Aap yeh kaheen humpar aaj chillane ke kaaran toh nahi bol rahi hai na?" Karishma asked and Haseena scrunched her brows.

"Aapko yakeen kyun nahi ho raha hai." Haseena said with disappointment.

"Patah nahi par yeh sab ek bahoth acha wala sapna lag raha hai aur hummey darr lag raha hai ki kaheen humari neend khul na jaaye aur yeh sapna toot na jaaye." Karishma said sadly. Haseena placed her hand behind Karishma's head and pulled her for a kiss. The kiss was slow, filled with love, as if she wanted to reassure Karishma and Haseena parted after sometime huffing.

"I hope yeh aapko yakeen dilaya hoga ki yeh sapna nahi tha." Karishma blushed but chuckled at how bold Haseena had just been. She never expected Haseena to be expressive let alone kiss her or confess her love first. Her love for Haseena didn't expect any of that from her. She just loved Haseena. Sometimes that love was too much that it hurt her and she always seemed to welcome that pain. But with Haseena in her arms she realised the beauty of that pain. It was not a pain, but her heart yearning to be with the person it loved the most. The person whose mere existence made it happy.

"I love you too Haseena. Aap toh jaanti hi hogi."
Karishma said and Haseena grinned at how nonchalantly she declared her knowledge of Haseena being aware of her love.

She was proud of loving Haseena and that made her heart flutter. She reminisced about how she thought the person whom Karishma loved would be the luckiest person alive and the realisation of her, being that person made her tear up right there.

"Kaash hum pehle hi iss kadam uthaate toh aap pehle hi humari hoti." Karishma said placing her hand on Haseena's face wiping the tear that had escaped.

"Kaash." Haseena repeated and smiled.

"Aaj ke baare mein, humme patah nahi achanak humko utna gussa aah kaise gaya tha. Woh aapne humara haath toka tha aur aur humme bura lag gaya tha shayad."

"Sorry." Karishma said holding her ear and Haseena held her hand removing it and kissed her cheek.

"Ab iskey aage kya hoga?" Karishma asked.

Haseena leaned onto her shoulder and Karishma put her hand around her.

"Patah nahi par aapke saat sab acha lag raha hai." Haseena replied

"Abhi ke liye wahi kaafi hai." Karishma said, and they both turned to enjoy the view in peace.

When they returned home, it was almost midnight. Karishma came into Haseena's room without any reservations and crashed on her bed.

"Hum thak gaye bhaisaab." She exclaimed and Haseena chuckled at her antics.

"Toh subah humne joh adoora choda tha usko complete nahi kar payengi aap? Theek hai so jayiye." She said with a mischievous glint in her eyes, moving to the bed after dimming the lights.

Karishma looked at her with surprise but composed herself quickly.
"Abhi batate hai idhar aayiye toh sahi." Karishma said getting up and pulling her by her hand and Haseena dashed into her and she let out a tiny squeak. Karishma locked her into place by encircling her hands around her waist.

"Kya kar rahi hai aap Karishma?" She asked, arching her eyebrows while putting her hands around Karishma's shoulder.

"Pyaar kar rahe hai humari apni personal girlfriend se." Karishma said and Haseena chuckled.

"Hum aapko kiss karne waale hai Haseena." Karishma said leaning closer to Haseena.

"Toh kijiye na." Haseena said impatiently and Karishma laughed. Haseena blushed at how candid she had been and buried her head in Karishma's neck. Karishma kissed her head with love.

Karishma lifted Haseena's face from the crook of her neck and kissed her, slowly moving her lips against Haseena's. She smiled against Haseena's lips thinking how kissing Haseena was her favourite activity these days. Haseena leaned more into the kiss and bit Karishma's lower lip for she was distracted for mere seconds and that irked Haseena. Karishma slid her hand from Haseena's face to her neck to her bosom and then her waist and Haseena sighed whilst still kissing her back fervently. The effect she had on Haseena was always amusing to her.

She then descended to her neck placing various kisses on her soft skin and her hands slid inside Haseena's shirt.

"So soft." She whispered between her kisses.

Her hand was ascending closer towards her desired place with every passing second. Haseena arched to her touch bringing her centre closer to Karishma's making her want her more.

Karishma withdrew with difficulty, just enough to look at Haseena's face to see if she was fine. If she was okay with this kind of intimacy.

Haseena's cheeks were a unique shade of crimson. Her hair was slightly dishevelled and her lips slightly swollen and this was a sight to behold for Karishma.

"Haseena we should stop." Karishma huffed. Haseena still hadn't recovered from their encounter.

She stepped back. "Hum uss room mein soyengey." She said not trusting herself enough to be in the same room as Haseena and left a hot and bothered Haseena behind her.

It had been an hour since Karishma had abruptly left. Haseena was turning sides on her bed repeatedly.

She took her pillow and blanket and went to Karishma's room and knocked. Karishma opened the door.

"Humare room mein AC kaam nahi kar raha hai." She simply said and started settling on Karishma's bed.

"Aapke room mein AC nahi hai Haseena." Karishma stated as a matter of fact.

"Haan toh?" She said and covered herself with her blanket turning to the opposite side.

She felt Karishma getting on the bed but didn't come near her or snuggle her?

Theek hai. Hum bhi koi bhaav nahi dengey inhein. Haseena huffed. She knew she was being immature or childish but it was only Karishma to whom she showed this side of hers and Karishma loved her for it.

"Haseena?" Karishma called. Haseena didn't respond.

Karishma put her arms around Haseena's waist and pulled her nearer until they were close enough for Karishma to feel Haseena inhaling and exhaling.

"I love you." She whispered near her ear and kissed her shoulder and inhaling her intoxicating scent.

"I love you too." Haseena answered back not being able to stop herself.

"Aap jaagi hui hai."

"Ji haan."

"Haseena woh- I am not ready. Humey thoda time chahiye. Aur..aur aapko waise dekkar humme laga ki hum kudhko woh waqt de nahi payeingey. I wouldn't have been able to stop. I am sorry."

Haseena turned to face Karishma.

"Aap sorry kyun bol rahi hai. Hum iss relationship ko waqt dengey. I would like to take it slow. Hum har ek pal ko cherish karna chahtey hai. Theek hai?"

Karishma nodded and Haseena encircled her hands around her waist, placing her head on Karishma's chest where she felt safe.

Her heart was content. She was happy.
