Haseena watched as Karishma walked towards the entrance and then eventually into the building. She was greeted by two men who seemed to readily recognise her. Haseena breathed out in relief at the fact that the gunmen seemed to recognise her and not do anything adverse meaning that Karishma was still not outed to the gang. Her cover was still valid which meant this mustn't be as dangerous as she'd initially predicted. Karishma proceeded further and Haseena scrunched her nose when Karishma reached out to a bottle on the table in the corner of the room. Seriously! she thought to herself.
"Singh ji bann gayi hai toh yeh karne ka free ticket mil gaya aapko haina." She mumbled with an irksome tone and Karishma smiled as she chugged from the bottle. The corridor seemed deserted so she whispered back "Sorry Hasee. Purana aadat hai aur hum pure character mein hai hum."
"Ghar ayengey na yeh sab jamela khatam hone ke baadh, tabh dekh lengey aapko abhi concentrate kijiye jaan." Haseena replied sweetly and Karishma's smile widened.
"Ab biwi waali baatein koun kar raha hai Hasee." She said cooing to Haseena with exceeding love already missing being near her. This was an addiction. She was an addiction. Karishma was drunk on her love and she intended to be so until death did them apart. She once again thanked her luck.
A police van parked in front of Haseena's jeep and she exited the jeep instructing the officers and placing them in locations ready for them to barge in on Karishma's signal. Haseena replaced herself with another cop to monitor Karishma's body cam and started proning towards Karishma.
"Karu hum aapke biwi hi banne waale hai aaj nahi toh kal. Back-up aah chuka hai Karishma Singh. Waiting for your signal."
Karishma was about to reply but then she witnessed movement in the entrance at the end of the corridor and so did Haseena who had covered the length of the corridor through another entrance. The guards were already taken care of by the other officers.
Here Karishma walked into the room and what she witnessed was traumatizing nonetheless. Yash Singh Silagaur stood rooted near a huge table. The room had no windows except the small one in the far eight corner and hence it was dimly lit. It had minimal furniture just a table and a couple of wooden chairs. The paint was falling apart and the floor was covered in blood. The source of all that blood seemed to be the corpse lying on the very same table in the centre of the room. Karishma could quickly recognise the person or rather the corpse.
It was Diya..and standing beside the table with a lunatic addition to his face was Yash Singh Silagaur. The one person from the whole family who was kept away from all the criminal activities, who was ever so noble that he knew nothing of the family's ways, who was once or maybe even now head over heels for Karishma. He held a knife in his left hand. Blood was smeared all over his body and his entire demeanor looked very unkempt and so unlike the Yash Singh that Karishma was familiar with.
"Hey Karishma tum aah hi gayi matlab. Welcome aao aao yahaan aao Diya se milo!" Yash said in a dramatized version of his own voice. Karishma at once recognised that this person that stood before her was not normal. Nothing about him seemed normal. He was not in his right mind at all. Who would have known..
"Aao aao wahaan kyun kadi hai! Diya bhi kitni impatient thi subah se tumsey milne ke liye! Par dekho, bichari marr gayi! Humme baar baar yeh karo woh karo kehke pareshaan kar rahi thi. Isiliye maar diya mein isko bas dho theen goli lagaya aur dekho kaise marr gayi." Yash declared with an unnatural nonchalance.
"Hey Yash." Karishma answered slowly walking towards him. She suddenly remembered that she had left her pistol in the jeep. She felt Haseena's presence somewhere near her so she remained calm. Yash's persona however bothered her. Such a person could be unpredictable. Take decisions in the blink of an eye.
