Haseena knocked on Karishma's door.

"Karishma? Dinner ready hai aap bahar ayiye please." She pleaded. There was no response but she didn't budge from the door. She was about to knock again but Karishma's voice interrupted her.

"Khula hua hai. Andar ayiye." Karishma had just come out of the bathroom in her home clothes.

"Humme bhook nahi hai." She said simply and plopped down on her bed.

"Humpar naraaz hai toh humpar nikhaaliye, aise khaane par narazgi na utaarein please." Haseena stated.

"Hum kyun naraaz hongey aap par?" Karishma said getting up and looking at Haseena.

"Aap yeh indifference ki natak chod dijiye please aur humsey baat kijiye Karishma."

"Wah Haseena ji aapko humare saare baat saare actions natak lagta hai na. Uss din bhi beech sadak aapne aise hi kuch boli thi." Karishma said infuriated.

"Karishma humne uss intention se nahi kaha tha. Aap samajthi kyun nahi?"

Just then Karishma's eyes landed on Haseena's cracked phone in her hand. She quickly learnt that Haseena had thrown her Phone in anger.

"Toh aapka aise aapki phone ko gussey mein todd dena theek hai par humara gussa natak hai? Haina?" Karishma asked holding Haseena's hand that had her phone up high.

"Hum isko gussey mein nahi balki frustration mein tode thi kyun AAP humare phone utha nahi rahi thi. Hum pareshaan tey aur humme aapki chinta ho rahi thi Karishma. Aap apni jaan ko baar baar dhaanv pe laga deti hai aur humme darr lag raha tha ki kaheen aap phir se-." Haseena left her sentence unfinished.

"Haseena-" Karishma started to speak in a low voice but Haseena exited her room leaving Karishma alone in her regret. Karishma wanted to go behind her but she didn't. Her anger wasn't letting her think straight.

I have to talk with her. She thought to herself. Why should I though? She was the one who wasn't ready to listen to me in the station. Aur sabkey saamne suna bhi diya tha unhone...
Kab sudharengi aap Karishma Singh.. yahi bola tha na unhone..
Nahi hum baat nahi karengey.

But then she remembered Haseena's voice cracking as she stated her fear of Karishma getting hurt and her monologue went to the drain as she found her outside Haseena's room looking for her.

Haseena was sitting on the corner of the bed, a book in her hand to which she was not even paying any attention.

Karishma walked up to Haseena and took the book from Haseena's hands making her look at her. She didn't want to lose Haseena to her anger. However uncontrollable it was. She took a deep breath.

Karishma held Haseena's hand and pulled her towards her until they were face to face with each other and looked at her face for a few seconds and Haseena did the same. Karishma noticed that Haseena's eyes were puffed as if she had cried before.
They were looking at each other, relishing each other's presence. Afterall they were alone and near each other after a long day.

"Aapne dinner kar liya hai?" Karishma asked. Now her face was mere inches from Haseena's.

"Nahi.."

"Kyun?"

"Aapka wait kar rahe tey."

Karishma pulled Haseena with her and moved outside to the dinner table. Karishma sat down and started eating her food in silence. Haseena quietly sat beside her and did the same.

"Karishma humme aapse baat karni hai." She said finally no longer able to bear her silence.

"Ka baat hai Haseena ji." Karishma said and got up taking her plate with her. She cleaned up and waited near the table for Haseena to finish her dinner. Haseena got up cleaning her plate and came back to Karishma.

"Humne thaane mein joh kiya uskey-"

"Hum kaam ke baare mein ghar mein baat nahi karengey." Karishma declared and moved towards the key holder and took her bike keys.

"Kahaan jaa rahi hai aap." Haseena asked getting up. She was afraid that Karishma was unwilling to be in her presence after their fight.

"Ghar mein baat nahi kar saktey hai so baahar ja rahe hai. Aapko lekar." Karishma said in a low tone.

Haseena dropped whatever she was doing and followed Karishma. She went and stood near Karishma's bike and Karishma walked to her after locking the door, made her wear her helmet and they left to wherever the winds took them in the chilly night.

After an hour of riding Karishma stopped in a place overlooking the entire city. The lights were twinkling below them and stars above them.

Karishma sat down and patted the place near her. Haseena sat down and placed her head on Karishma's shoulder.

"Humme maaf kar dijiye." Karishma said. Haseena withdrew her head and looked at Karishma in awe. She was apologizing even when she wasn't entirely at fault.

"Woh aap jaanti hai na humare gussey ko. Woh aadmi ne kuch ni kiya hum hi topa gaye tey-"

Haseena engulfed Karishma in a hug. She was lying so Haseena wouldn't know about the poster.

"Hum sab jaantey hai." She whispered and Karishma hugged her tighter.

"Haseena aap fikar mat kijiye hum sambhal lengey." she whispered reassuring her but Haseena didn't give a damn about those posters.

Haseena parted and held Karishma's hands in hers.

"Humme maaf kar dijiye. Humko waise react nahi karna chahiye tha." She said Karishma wiped her tears away.

"Haseena aap rona bandh kijiye. Hum aapke aankhon mein aansu dekh nahi saktey." She said and Haseena nodded. She again placed her head against Karishma's shoulder.

She realised that no one in this world could ever love her, care for her the way Karishma did. And she would try to love her the way she did. That was a promise she had made to herself. To love Karishma the way Karishma loved her. She would die trying she decided.

Lamha sa guzaar kar haq jatate ho,
Izhaar bhi kiya nahi aur mohabbat batate ho.
Haseena thought of one of her favourite shayris.

"Karishma?"

"Hmm?"

"Humme aapse pyaar ho gaya hai." Haseena declared.
