Tyler-"Nerves again?"

Colton-"You know it". (puts on cleats)

Kliff-(comes in) "CJ you're starting first half, Trey second".

Trey-"Sounds good coach".

James-"That atta boy Colt!" (pats his back)

Colton-"It's only preseason dude".

Zac-"Time to make a name for yourself, sure Kylar is first string and Colt is second,  you and Trey won't be getting cut it's nice to have three backups instead of two just in case".

They finish getting ready, JJ comes over and sits down by Colton, he's not in any gear since he doesn't have to play preseason, he's also back from having Covid a couple weeks ago

JJ-"Preseason debut how do you feel?"

Colton-"I'm nervous J, I wanna get third string, Colt is already second".

JJ-(pats his back) "I know ya do, Kylar hasn't been giving you a hard time since I've been gone has he?"

Colton-"I'm sure you would know before I told you if he did or not, come on I wanna meet up with Brody".

They head out to the field, they were in LA going against the Rams, he walked up and hugged Brody

Tasha-"There's Uncle Colt".

Cooper-"Colt!"

Colton-(picks him up) "Hi buddy".

Brody-"Heard you're starting".

Colton-"Yes I sure am". (smiles)

Brody-"I won't go too hard on ya, it's only preseason". (laughs)

They talk some more during warmups after that they head back into the lockerooms

Kliff-"Alright last one before the real thing starts fellas, let's show em".

They get up and head out, Kylar walks up

Kylar-"Don't screw up". (smirk)

JJ-"Get walking Murray". (wraps arm around Colton)

Once they head out the game starts, Colton is doing well, Tyler is in also and he has been his main target almost the whole night along with Ertz since he is playing a little in this game,  Colton hikes the ball he goes to throw then out of nowhere he is tackled by Brody, Brody then helps him up

Brody-"Just like old times". (smiles)

Colton-(pats his back) "I let ya do that".

Once the half was over they went back into the lockeroom, Colton changed into street clothes then they went back out, Trey was now in at quarterback Erin came to the sidelines

Erin-"You just made your NFL preseason debut how does it feel?"

Colton-"Feels good Erin, feels even better knowing that my best friend is on the other sideline, he got a good one on me earlier". (laughs)

Erin-"Goodluck with the rest of the season".

The game ends with the Cardinals winning, Brody and Colton take some pictures, after that the team went back to their hotel, JJ and Colton roomed together

JJ-"You did great today bud".

Colton-"Thanks". (lays on bed)

JJ-"Brody got you good though". (laughs)

Colton-"Yeah he did, I can't believe how much Cooper has grown".

JJ-"When you gonna pop the big question?"

Colton-(sighs) "I have no idea J, maybe during our bye week, we're freakin busy and when we're in Mexico we won't have much time, cause that's where I wanted to do it".

JJ-"Understand, have you been thinking about kids?"

Colton-"Let me get the answer from her first before we start talking about that".

JJ-"Okay, but really do you want kids?"

Colton-"Someday yeah, right now I'm still trying to comprehend everything".

JJ-"I know buddy, I was the same way I said no girl till after football now look at me, married, have two dogs, and a kid on the way". (smiles)

Colton-"I'm excited for you buster". 

They talk some more then head to bed
