The uneasy team of hero's made their way across the windy hills, moving fast through the day and only slowing down for an hour to rest.

Although their relationship wasn't so much "sunshine and rainbows" as it was a forced partnership. Shadow took the role of leader, Tails only followed if it meant he could find Eggman and Omega followed Shadow according to G.U.N orders.

The sun was starting to set and the wind was becoming colder when Omega suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. Shadow turned back in Confusion.

Tails: Omega? Why are we stopping?

Omega: My sensors indicate nearby organic life outside of the typical animals and ourselves.

Tails: What does that mean?

Shadow: That we're not alone...

Tails nodded, both he and Shadow going on guard. Nighttime suddenly fell on the flip of a dime, wind blowing through their fur/quills.

And then...

Tails: Look out!

Tails's wrist mounted arm cannon sprung to life as he blasted an energy ball into the sky, destroying a star shaped dagger flying towards Shadow.

Laughter caught their attention as they turned their heads up. Zazz made his appearance on top of a floating yellow ball, Bearing a face that looked even more insane then his own.

Zazz: I'm gonna thrash you into the dirt!!

Omega: Analysis: Unknown. Life-form data not found in G.U.N database.

Tails: It's a Zeti...

Shadow looked in confusion at the young fox.

Tails: I found a book on this species a long time ago.

Shadow: Whatever he is, he doesn't know who he's messing with.

Shadow summoned a chaos spear to his hand, staring up at Zazz.

Zazz: Aw yeah baby! We got a fighter! Cmon, come get me!

Omega: My sensors indicate a challenge. Odds of combined success are 84.7%. Shall we engage?

Shadow: Gladly...

Shadow and Omega ran after Zazz to engage, Tails following closely behind them.

The fight was relatively easy. Despite Zazz having Zero impulse control in his attacks, the power of the ultimate life form alone was more then enough to bring his ship down.

Zazz and his craft collided with the ground, Zazz rising back up in a daze as Shadow stood over him with a menacing look.

Shadow: Now, your going to tell-

A power blast suddenly slammed down where Zazz was lying, scaring him onto his feet as he picked up his craft and started running away. Shadow turned around in a quick swivel and Saw Tails trying to shoot Zazz with his blaster.

Tails: Get back here! I'm not done with you yet!

Tails went for a charge shot to do some real damage, but Shadow quickly shoulder rammed into Tails and knocked him over, allowing Zazz to get away when Omega failed to grab him.
