Hedgehog and Fox looked with hatred at the Metallic hedgehog, red and glitched eyes staring back into his black soulless ones.

Shadow: I should've known you would have something to do with all this...

Metal Sonic: You would be right Ultimate Life-form. The only difference is that I've been outsourcing this time. I'll assume both of you are familiar with Sage?

Shadow clenched his fist as Tails looked up in shock.

Tails: I thought it suspicious she referred to her brother so many times...

Metal Sonic: In the end, she was nothing more then a tool. I don't require her assistance to destroy you both and this world. But first, I must take something from the fox.

Tails desperately tried to rise to his feet but caved again as Shadow dashed towards Metal Sonic with a flying spin kick. He phased through the robot due to his state but Metal Sonic's energy blast from his hand send Shadow skidding across the floor.

With neither able to stand once again, Metal Sonic stood over Tails like an Angel of death casting a shadow.

Tails. Cmon then Metal...Do your worst...

Metal Sonic: Fear not Miles Prower, your burden shall become my strength.

Metal floated midair with his thrusters and flew several feet in the air as his chest glowed, stretching his hands over Tails.

Immediately, the air became boiling and the lights dimmed as red and black glowed across Tails's whole body, siphoning into Metal Sonic as Tails screamed in pain. If Sonic was in pain being turned into a were-hog, Tails was experiencing 3 times that.

Screams filled the air as Shadow tried calling out for him over the noise, knowing there was nothing he could do. He was a shell and Metal was far too powerful.

Black cyber energy swirled around Metal before the draining process ended, leaving Tails on the floor gasping for air and his eyes coated in tears. One benefit was that the pain in his body since freeing Amy had vanished.

Looking up, Metal floated with a ring of black cyber energy encircling him, glitching between red and blue.

Metal Sonic: This energy is unlike anything in the doctors records, far too complicated for a weakling like you Miles Prower.

Tails looked in rage as he stood to his feet, ready to fight as his stamina returned.

Metal Sonic: Now, I will destroy-

(ZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!)

Metal Sonic's body suddenly began to violently spasm like he was having a seizure. The energy enveloped his body in a black and red glow as his chest shone with bright rainbow colours.

In his quest for power, he'd overlook a flaw in his own design. Being made of a non-organic materials, being powered by chaos drives and having been itself in the power grasps of the chaos emeralds and the phantom Ruby, the sheer amount of power the Cyber energy was taking on caused an overload...

Therefore, It made an exception.

Metal Sonic: What-ZZZ-Is-BZZZT-This!?!? I will not-!?!?!

Metal Sonic's words faded into nothing but garbled, almost panicked static before the energy fully covered him like a black Bubble-

(BOOM!!!)

And exploded with enough force to send Shadow and Tails flying backwards. Tails slammed against the rock wall structure as Shadow fell back against the grass and fell unconscious.
