As they moved onto the desert for the next race, tempers were high as recent events were still hot in the air.

Shadow: First Metal Sonic, then Metal Knuckles and now that...Jackal?! How is this Tanuki not working for Eggman?!

Espio: You must calm your mind Shadow, your rage clouds you judgement.

Espio: Are you joking with me Espio!? After everything that piece of-!

Charmy, Cream and Tails quickly had their ears covered by Amy and Blaze, with everyone else giving grimaces as Shadow said some very "colourful" choices of words.

Shadow: And after everything that Jackel did to us, how is this not a trick!?

Shadow's fur sparked with chaos energy as Amy and Cream took a precautionary step back.

Espio: Shadow...The one we once called infinite posses no threat. I understand your rage, but if you let it control you, it could destroy you.

Shadow glared daggers at Espio, before stowing his hands as they fell to his side.

Shadow: Fine. But if Dodon Pa doesn't spill his secrets soon, we're doing things my way.

The desert race went off easily as Team rose pulled ahead for a win. Afterwards, Shadow stood off to the side with Espio when a Chao handed him a folder.

Espio: Thank you my friend...

Shadow: What is that?

Espio: From the moment I arrived, Me and Charmy have had informants in the crowd, gathering information against Dodon Pa.

Shadow snatched the folder away from Espio.

Shadow: Perfect. Just what I needed to know.

Espio: You know, you could try thanking me.

Shadow: I will if your information is valid.

Shadow opened the folder as they skimmed through it, checking and double checking everything they were looking at. By the end, Espio looked at Shadow with a small grin.

Shadow: Don't give me that look. You were right.

Espio: Thank you. Are you satisfied now?

Shadow closed the folder and pointed over at Dodan Pa.

Shadow: Almost. Let's confirm with the source...

With the folder thrown out before him Dodan Pa looked up at Shadow and Espio as everyone else (With the exception of Team Metal) Gathering around. Tails looked at the folder and looked surprised.

Tails: I must say Mr Dodan Pa, this is impressive! You own a motor company, your the king of a planet named after you...

Amy: And he's got some of the fastest cars I've ever seen!

Cream: See? I told you he was nice Mr Shadow!

Shadow gave cream a quick glance that startled her and Cheese.
