In one of the doctors dark desolate labs, row upon row of stasis tubes were lined up, containing pieces of some sort of Gemstone with one being polished by Cubot.

Entering the facility, Eggman walked to a computer, Orbot overlooking his latest plan as he started a monologue.

Eggman: Sonic...how I hated him. My biggest regret was being unable to end his life myself, but now that anger has been crafted into my ultimate masterpiece!

In the chamber Cubot was washing, a figure floated...

Eggman: Every defeat, every humiliation has lead to this moment. The moment I take out all this rage upon every last one of his friends! They shall fall before my hand and the rest of the world will fall under the banner of the Eggman Empire! HAHAHAHA!!!

Eggman laughed into the darkness as Orbot looked on.

Orbot: The boss really means business this time!

And from the inside of the stasis chamber, a hexagon gem engraved in his chest and yellow shining through his one eyed mask, Eggman's weapon...began to awaken...

In Sunset City, a full scale invasion was ravaging the city. Egg pawns and aerial badniks were smashing apart buildings and scaring the citizens away.

They ran for their lives, desperately trying to save themselves. A group of people found themselves surrounded by robots closing in at a rapid pace.

But as they realoaded their weapons to open fire on the innocent...

Gunfire rang off and obliterated the entire platoon, before the shooter slammed down before the people. It was Omega!

Mobian Hawk: T-Thanks you-

Omega: Their is no time for congratulating! Evacuate to the nearest safe location and avoid open areas! Go!

They compiled immediately, running as Omega turned back to the large rows of robots before him as he deployed both his mini gun arms.

Omega: Pitiful Eggman Robots,  Prepare for your ultimate destruction!

Then another 2 figures jumped down from above.

Tails: Hey! Leave some fun for us Omega!

Tails leapt into the fray, throwing a series of devices from his backpack and at the robots feet. The disks beeped until they flashed with small blasts of electricity, shutting off entire platoons of bots and sending them tumbling to the ground.

Shadow used homing attacks to gain air as he jumped off the buzz bombers and ran up the walls.

Once he was in the air, he deployed his new trick. He pulled a small white container from his quills and placed it on his back, two wings sprouting from the sides as his Rocket boots kicked into full gear.

Thanks to Omega snatching the doctor's jetpack from when they last met and Tails's tinkering, The ultimate life form now had the ability to fly!

Shadow flew down, using his chaos abilities to their full strength as he wiped out row after row after row of pawns, badniks and drones. Aerial attackers were useless as he used his chaos field and manoeuvrability to plough through them.
