Tails walked out of the lab and was immediately greeted by Espio arriving, followed by cream as the rabbit girl ran to give him a hug.

Cream: Mr Tails! Your okay!

Tails: Hehe, hey Cream! I'm glad to see you safe...

He returned the hug and gave a quick hello to Cheese before going off on his way towards the command area. There, he found Omega connecting himself to the communications centre as Amy calculated on the tabletop and Shadow connected some large wires to a satellite dish.

Tails: Hey guys, I thought you left the tech stuff to me?

Amy: Didn't wanna bother you Tails. Plus, this was An idea the 3 of us had.

Shadow and Omega gave thumbs up.

Tails: Okay...what's the idea?

Omega: This terminal has been accessed by Dr Eggman within the last 27 hours. It has many listed points on Dr Eggman's plans and how he plans to execute them.

Tails: Great! We can get the drop on him-

Shadow: It's not just that Miles. This base also has access to many of the doctor's media outposts. From here, we can broadcast anything we want.

Tails: Really?

Amy: Our numbers are higher thanks to you guys, but I don't know if we have enough to face Eggman head on. We need as many people as we can get.

Tails: Great! So all we have to do is get Amy up on the microphone and have her talk to people?

The whole room went quiet, Amy rubbing her arm nervously. Classic Sonic rubbed his arm and ducked outta the room.

Tails: W-why is everyone staring at me like that?

Shadow: Miles...we were hoping you could give the message.

Tails looked at Shadow as if he'd just said he was from the future.

Tails: What!? Guys, cmon! I'm not cut out for telling people to fight for us! I spilled the beans on Where you guys were to infinite and it nearly got you all killed!

Amy: That was different, you were locked in a cell and-

Tails: And I still sold you out, all because I opened my mouth! What if I do it again and I say the wrong thing, then the whole resistance could just give up!

Omega: Tails, what your saying is logically impossible.

Tails: But look at it from my standpoint! I was Sonic's sidekick, nothing more! I was player two, the wingman, his buddy who does the tech stuff while he goes off to save the world, I mean-Why isn't Shadow doing all this?!

Tails's ran was halted as Shadow placed a hand on his shoulder.

Shadow: Because I see something in you I could never find: A voice of hope.

Tails: Shadow, I'm not like Sonic...I'm not the big hero...

Tails's shoulder's slumped.

Shadow: Your right, your not Sonic and you might never have his same legacy...

Tails looked down In despair.

Tails: But what you have is a chance to be better then him.

Tails looked up in surprise.

Shadow: Tails, back in space before you convinced me, I was ready to give up. We were outnumbered, outgunned...and I didn't see a way out. But you inspired me, helped me keep fighting against the odds when it seemed like they were unbeatable. And not just me, but them too.
