Blipped (3/4) Catching Up

Tails dashed through the door with excitement, Sonic and Knuckles trailing behind him as they entered a truly amazing house. It was two stories on the outside, but on the inside, it was like a Mansion!

Science labs as big a parking garage, a full kitchen and living room set and a training room filled up with protocols and security systems.

Sonic: Woah...

Knuckles: And I thought my island was big!

Tails: Cmon guys, take a seat!

The two were suddenly whisked by a couch that pulled in behind them, dragging them near Tails's work bench. His quills standing on edge, Sonic shook his head as some Soda cans appeared on a random table.

Sonic: Oh, sweet!

Tails immediately landed on a chair the opposite side, having a drink in his hand.

Tails: Whatcha think so far?

Sonic: What do I think? Tails, this is sweet! Love what you've done with the place, especially the self moving chairs.

Tails: Oh, they aren't self moving. Call it a little bit of Miles Magic!

Tails waved his hand with a blur of Red, causing ingredients to whir from the kitchen and mix together into a chilli dog that fell in Sonic's hand. He took a bite as his eyes were dumbfounded, Knuckles looking as if he'd just seen a ghost!

Sonic: That was...Awesome! Man Tails, since when did you get Superpowers!?

Tails: Long story, one I'll tell you later. But for now, what happened with you guys? How...how are you here?

Knuckles: Beats me. We all woke up by a broken birthday table this morning, but before that I was just cutting cake.

Sonic: Yeah. But...then the Emerald showed us what happened...

Tails looked shocked before looking down.

Sonic: Again Tails...Buddy, We're so sorry.

Tails: It's just...it was hard, you know? Losing you guys, I...I basically became a loner.

Knuckles: I understand more then anyone Tails. Before meeting you and Sonic, I was also alone after my father died. I know the pain of losing Family and being alone.

Tails: Thanks Knuckles...But...I had others to help me! I had Amy! And Shadow!

Sonic: Shadow? What, did that grump-hog try to hire you into G.U.N?

Both Sonic and Knuckles laughed.

Tails: N-No actually, he was actually really nice. And Omega...Well, he had some rough edges to work around, but he's becoming a better person every day! You've probably already seen his observation deck.

Knuckles: You gave that Robot a home on my Island!?

(Crunch!)

Knuckles broke the Can in one hand as Sonic awkwardly shuffled away.

Tails: K-Knuckles, it's okay! He's just been watching over some filckies and Chao and wisps now and then, plus helping out with keeping watch on the emerald!

Knuckles: Hmm, And by keeping watch you mean turning it into one of your science experiments?

Tails: I-in all fairness, no one's tried to steal it in years...

Knuckles went Stone faced.

Knuckles: Your saying I've spent my entire life here guarding that thing, then you spend a couple years here and no one's even tried?
