---Melodys pov---

"Jesus Zak how much did you bring" Ethan asked dragging a polka dotted suitcase behind him. Me and Zak were sitting on the bottom step cause Ethan was determined he could do it on his own. We offered to help but he always said no.

"No one told me how long we were staying in LA for" Zak pointed out. It was true no one told him how long we were staying here cause I didn't know. Ethan had told his dad about our relationship problems and we that's why we arrived cause he thought a vacation would help fix us. But you can't fix what we once had... no matter the amount of super sticky glue you used.

"Don't you worry Zak. I'm sure you won't be that bored " Ethans dad answered walking into the hallway. He was carrying a brightly coloured tray that had three mugs and a plate full of biscuits... cookies... they were chocolate chip anyway. Ethans dad placed the tray on a table and stood next to us. It was becoming a spectators sport watching Ethan struggle.

Out of Ethans whole family his dad comes second to the people I like. Ethans twin sister Lorna comes first and Ethan and his mum come third... for reasons. Anyway his dad works as a therapist. He has a office in London and has one being built in LA. He ranges from mental health to couples therapy.

"Zak take some things out of your bag please" I asked as Zak looked at me before sighing. He knew I was right cause Dad would shout at him if the suitcase ended up breaking.

"There's no getting mad about what I brought" Zak pleaded looking at the three of us. I just sighed before nodding. He then unzipped his bag and clothes and kther things spilled out of it. I was kinda expecting his switch, PlayStation and a whole bunch of games to spill out but was shocked when I saw it was clothes and books.

"It seems someone is a bit of a bookworm"

I slid off the step and looked at the books. There was a maths one... well three of them, nine sciences and English books. That was when i relapsed they were revision guides. Some were my old ones, some were Zekes and the others were now.

"Zak are y-"

"I'm not failing. My Mum just wants me to be prepared and to be in a place with no interruptions. Their planning a wedding and your Mum keeps on beinging brought up and i can't listen to another 'that women is delusional and a big old-' am I allowed to swear" He asked turning to Ethans dad who chuckled before shaking his head.

"Well if you don't mind carrying the books up yourself I've placed all your clothes back inside and it zips up easier" Ethan explained flashing a smile. I helped Zak pick up his books cause it kept my mind from wandering to him. Once we had gotten all the books that we could see I stood back up. Zak had around three in his hands and I had like twenty. It was a good thing they were thin books.

"I'm gonna get back to work so don't make too much noise while unpacking" Ethans dad asked as we nodded. He then gave me a quick hug before walking off. I gripped the books tighter when he was gone. I could feel Ethans gaze on me. Was he mad his dad hugged me?

"Ethan can you lead instead of staring. I don't know which room Zak is sleeping in" I whispered to him. He just nodded before squeezing past Zak who was on his phone. We then followed Ethan up the stairs with a big gap between us and him cause the suitcase kept hitting the stairs with each step. I know Ethan needed help but I kept on pushing that thought further and further back as we climbed the stairs.

I had come to the conclusion that Zak didn't need to see us argue, no one did. But I think Ethan also knew that. Was it wrong for me to say I was scared?

"Here we are the guest bedroom" Ethan shouted opening the door. We all then stepped in. Ethan placed Zaks suitcase on the bed with the book of top of it and I placed his revision books on the dresser.
