---Melody's pov (november 23rd)---

"Morning Melody" Zak cried as I slowly trudged into the kitchen. I mumbled a morning back before laying my head onto the counter. I then felt a chair being pushed under me which I accepted.

"Not the most comfortable position Mels but at least I haven't got to worry about you falling back into the oven" Ashton chuckled before kissing me on the cheek. I waved him off cause the cool counter was nice.

"Ashton did Mum say she wanted orange juice or apple juice"

"I think she actually said a coffee" Ashton answered back which earned a chuckle from me. A mug was soon placed in front of me. I mumbled a thank you before lifting my head up.

"I wish you had let me enjoy the bed as well cause your making it seem like it was comfy"

"We wouldn't have fit Ashton plus I'm pretty sure my Dad walked in at one in the morning and would have killed you if you had gotten into bed with me" I pointed out before taking a sip of  coffee. Ashton and Zak both chuckled before talking about... cars I think or maybe it was deadpool... maybe trees.

"Plus her room is next to mine with the bed pressed against the wall... I really don't need to be hearing any of that" Zak added which earned him a middle finger from me and Ashton.

"I think we both have heard our fair share of Zeke and George christmas eve hookups to know that we never do "that" here"

"You mean Zekes grindr hookups" Zak questioned as I shook my head. I should have guessed if I didn't know then Zak wouldn't have known either about my best friend and my brothers relationship.

"No Melody is correct" Naomi corrected walking into the kitchen. Ashton smiled at her before handing her a mug. "Thank you Ashton so who wants to hear about the shriek of twenty-eighteen "

"I think it's time for me to go and see Dad. Don't make fun of him too much" I warned before picking up my mug. Naomi just nodded before turning back to Ashton and Zak, who both looked interested by the story.

"It was christmas eve of twenty-eighteen and all was quiet in the house. William was working late in the dining room when he heard this ghostly groan. His first thought was burglar or serial kil-"

I quickly hurried out of the kitchen and up the stairs. I knew the story all to well   and it made it a million times more funnier now that I knew my best friend was involved.

As I made my way up the stairs I wrapped my old dressing gown tighter around me. There was one thing I didn't miss about my Dads house. It was too cold for me. it's too cold in the autumn and winter and then too hot in the summer. Even with a long sleeve shirt, joggers, woolly socks and jumper.

"Dad can I come in" I asked after knocking on the door. After a few seconds of no answer I knocked on the door again. This time harder.

"One second sweet pea" My Dad answered as I took a deep breath of relief. He was awake. The sound of paper ruffling was followed after before my Dad opened the door. A smile on his face as I looked at him weirdly.

"Now what do I own this meeting" He asked opening the door wider. I took that as a sign to enter. The room he once shared with his ex wife and my Mum was now a office for his lawyer work.

"I love the TV. It's very lawyery" I joked as he rolled his eyes at me before closing the door.

"So how is the firm" I asked watching  as he went back behind his desk. He shrugged his shoulders before picking up a folder.

"Same as its always been... very hectic"

I nodded my head before fidgeting with the sleeve of my dressing gown. I wanted to ask him about Ethan. Me and Ashton talked about it last night.
