Chapter 41 - Date night

--- Meldoy's pov (febuarary 10th)---

"Mels are you ready we gotta meet the others at the resturant in like... what time were we meeting them" Ashton shouted as I just chuckled while sorting out my jumper. It was group date night. Michael came up with idea last christmas when he found my social media accounts and saw how comfortable I had gotten with the fans.

Me and Ashton never left the comfort of my bed on date nights cause I wasn't used to their fans. Now days we have became more public about our relationship and it's been fun teasing the fans about Leon and Milly. 

"I told you a hour ago. We are waiting for Niall to arrive before we leave. I am not leaving Buddie and Bailey on their own again after the sock incident"

"Buddie said he was sorry" Ashton shouted back as I just huffed in annoyance. Buddie had decided to rip a pair of my socks that Ashton left in the floor for no reason. He blamed me cause I wanted ice cream but it was actually his fault.

"Buddie isn't the only one to blame... now come up stairs and help me put my shitty orange socks on" I shouted before plopping myself onto a chair and waiting. I then heard him chuckle before making his way up the stairs with Bailey and Buddie joining him.

"Has Jack called to tell you the trial date and such" Ashton asked while focusing on putting my socks on for me.

"Seventeenth of march which means we haven't got to worry about rescheduling our families visit" I answered as he just nodded his head as he finally got one sock on. He probably would have finished earlier if the dogs didn't distract him. God what would happen when Leon and Milly are born? 

"We can push their trip back if you want"

"Both of our families have been dying to meet since christmas. I'm not pushing it back cause of the trial Ashton" I defended as he just sighed in response. He had been suggesting that for a few days and at first it seemed like he cared but now it just seems like he didn't want our families to meet. Zak and Harry had already met and became good friends so maybe it was worry about the parents meeting.

"Melody I'm just worried your agreeing to too much. A trial is one thing and our families meeting is a-"

"Ashton. I will keep on telling you I am fine until you understand. I can balance a trial, our families meeting each other, monthly date nights, dogs, pregnancy and looking after you" I pointed out as Ashton sat on the floor in silence. I knew he was worried cause I kept on getting lost in my thoughts a lot more lately. I knew he wanted to be kept in the loop more than anyone but with Alex's confession about Ethan I couldn't tell anyone. It wasn't my place.

"Knock knock I'm coming in. I have a Niall. Please put clothes either on or back on" Calum shouted which I think caused Niall to chuckle loudly. I just rolled my eyes at our friends childish attitude before Ashton stood up.

"Of course make yourself at home you two"

"Good cause I'm thirsty and i can't wait till we get to the resturant" Calum shouted back which caused me to chuckle. I could tell he wasn't that excited for date night. That might have something to do with the fact Calums the... third wheel. He wasn't planning on coming but I convinced him I needed him there so it's not all lovely dovey. I wasn't really in the date mood either.

"Don't drink out the dogs drink bowl" I warned but I didn't get a response back.  So I just huffed at him before turning back around and waiting for Ashton to get the hint.

"I thought you could handle everything on your own" He asked as I held my hair brush up for him. I was tempted to argue back cause my mind wanted to but then I could hear the chuckle leave his lips a money later with the brush leaving my hand.
