"Dude, you cool?" Ajax asked as sat down beside me.
I looked at him. "Yeah, why?"
He chuckled. "Well, for like ninety percent of this class, you've been looking at Ovia. It's a bit questionable."
I scoffed. "Oh please. She has a bee in her bonnet because I smoked behind the greenhouse last week. I've been doing it for weeks. Now she's suddenly so sweet and polite? This girl's got problems."
Ajax shrugged. "Well, she thinks you've got problems and you're not as hard-headed as she describes."
"I'm not hard-headed," I scoffed, looking at her again. "She's a hippy."
"Sure," Ajax said, just in time for the bell to ring. "She's still my sister, so don't do something stupid."
We packed up our things, before moving to our feet.
"Be kind to her, okay?"
I scoffed, looking at Ajax as we left the greenhouse. "Why are you lecturing me? Lecture her."
We split right outside the greenhouse, and I walked around back. There, I lit a cigarette, while pacing up and down. Yet, I heard chatter inside the greenhouse.
"Would you still like to do it?" Miss Thornhill asked.
I found myself wondering closer to one of the open windows, glancing inside. Then I saw Ovia with a wide smile.
"I'd love to, ma'am. Does Weems know?"
Miss Thornhill shook her head. "I haven't gotten to her yet, but I'll figure it out. She'll have no choice but to agree."
Ovia laughed lightly. "I'll start this afternoon then."
Miss Thornhill smiled, before walking passed Ovia, leaving the greenhouse. Just then, Ovia looked up, and to my bad luck, she met my eyes. Immediately I spun away, hitting my back against the wall, before sighing.
Shit.
"Enjoy killing nature?"
I looked to my side, seeing her walk around the corner.
My eyes flew down to my cigarette and I groaned. "Force of habit, sorry." I pressed it back, killing the bud against the glass of the wall, before dropping it to the floor.
"I'm never going to have peace with you, am I?"
Ovia suddenly moved down right in front of me, and I caught myself taking in a deep breath watching her pull her lose hair out of her face. She picked up the cigarette, before standing back up straight. She glared up at me.
Fuck, that glare did something.
"Please, stop smoking at the greenhouse; and please make this smoking habit ephemeral."
I just stared at her. This time I didn't say anything back, I just looked at her, speechless. She turned around, dropping the bud into a trash can, before walking further, vanishing around a corner.
For a moment, I couldn't move. My mind was still on how she moved down in front of me. That's when my eyes flew down, and I noticed a bulge in my pants. I instantly groaned, covering it with my books. At least, to my bad luck, it had been the last subject of the day.

"And now?" Ajax questioned as I rushed into my dorm. "Yo, dude. What's up?" he asked, entering after me.
