Marcus stood behind Ovia as she stood up. She grabbed her bag, a smile spread on her lips as she stepped beside me.

"Ready to go?"

My eyes were still on Marcus. He looked from me to her, before back at me. Then raised an eyebrow. Yet the moment Ovia looked slightly at him, he smiled.

"Xavier, right?" he asked, stepping forward while holding his hand out.

I simply just looked at it, before looking down at Ovia. "We can leave now."

I turned and pushed the door, hearing her yell: "Goodbye Mister Cordell!"

We left the post office, and she frowned looking up at me.

"What's your problem?" she asked.

"Marcus is your assignment parter?"

"Yeah," she continued. "What's your problem? Still don't like him because of the orchid?"

"The flower. Yes."

She scoffed softly, shaking her head. "He was being nice, alright."

"And he was being flirty," I added.

She stopped me, making me look down at her. "We weren't a thing then," she laughed.

"We had tension-"

"That you technically caused," she said, making me chuckle. "You can't be serious. You really were jealous?!"

I scoffed. "Right, come on, princess."

"No," she laughed, grabbing my arm as I attempted to walk. "Xav, come on. Why are you letting some stupid flower effect you?"

I chuckled, looking down at her again. "I promise you it's not effecting me whatsoever. Alright?"

She scoffed jokingly, letting go of me before walking further. "Right, smoker."

The rest of the day was quite interesting. Wednesday blew up the new statue for Pilgrims day. I wasn't quite surprised.

We were rushed to the busses almost immediately. Students scattered like ants on an anthill. It was scary honestly.

"What was she thinking?!" Ovia blurted in anger as we stepped onto the bus. "She's reckless!"

"Ovia," Enid sighed. "It's Wednesday. She's getting the punishment she deserves, alright?"

"Ephemeral punishments, yes. It's not fair!"

Enid dropped down onto a seat near the back of the bus. I glanced over Ajax's shoulder to see where Ovia would sit, but to my surprise, she sat down across the aisle, at the window.

I was ready to sit beside her, but Ajax took my seat. He sat down beside her in a two-seater row, and I had to sit beside Enid as if nothing had happened.

"Are you okay?" I heard Ajax whisper.

Looking at him, I saw him looking down at her with a light frown on his face. I couldn't see her face, but I noticed she held her arm.

"Yeah," she whispered, but I know both Ajax and I knew she was lying.

When Ajax leaned back, I saw that she was only lightly holding her wrist. Her face didn't look happy. Yet once she looked out of the window I couldn't see her face anymore, but I didn't look away. My eyes moved to her had covering her wrist and curiosity spiked.
