"Alright, you have some free time. Work on your assignments, please." Miss Thornhill smiled, before sitting down behind her desk again.

I looked down at the paper sheet, my mind already rushing with the different possible topics for the new assignment. It was an interesting topic.

"Not to burst your bubble," Enid said, popping up in front of me. I sighed, my mind falling blank as I looked up at her. "But you've got eyes on you."

"Mhm," I hummed, looking down at my assignment again.

"Like, I sit behind him, right, and I noticed that he hadn't taken his eyes off of you since we sat down," she continued.

"Mhm," I hummed, looking through the assignment.

"And I know he was looking at you, because Miss Thornhill was in a different direction."

"Mhm," I said, flipping the page.

"I mean, he's still looking. Like, does he have a staring problem?"

"The poor soul," I whispered, turning the page, again.

Enid gave a light scoff. "I get that you're ignoring him, but he's acting weird."

No, I didn't tell Enid what happened. She took a wild guess.

"Enid," Miss Thornhill said, having her spin around. "Please take your seat. This is a one-person assignment."

I looked up at Miss Thornhill. "She only wanted a pencil, ma'am," I lied, before handing Enid a pencil from my pencil case.

Miss Thornhill smiled. "Alright then."

Enid gave me a thanking look, before making her way back to her desk.

I asked permission to listen to music on headphones, and Miss Thornhill allowed us. I was sure nit the only, or the first one to pull my headphones onto my ears.

Just when I played my music, I got a message. When opening it, I internally groaned.

> Stop ignoring me.

I glanced back, seeing Xavier put down his phone, his eyes beggingly looking at me.

"Xavier," Miss Thornhill said, making us both look at her. "Stop texting. You may listen to music, but no phones."

"Sorry, Miss," he said sliding his phone away.

I smiled in satisfaction, before looking down at my assignment, and getting to work.

"I hate Botanical Sciences," Enid groaned, dropping down beside me in the quad.

I sat with crossed legs on the grass, listening to music. I slipped my headphones off and around my neck  before looking at her with a small smile.

"I don't understand the assignment."

"She explained it two times," I chuckled, looking down at my papers. "You just didn't listen. Gazed too long at Ajax, I presume."

"Please," she scoffed softly, her eyes moving around the place. "Speaking of, where is he?"

I looked up, at her, while she made her way back to her feet.

"I'll be right back," she mumbled as she walked off.

I followed her with my eyes, but then they met Xavier's. He was once again painting the wall, with his eyes now on me. I immediately pulled my headphones back on, while keeping eye contact, before looking down at my work.
