"How's your arm?" I looked up at Xavier as the last few students left the greenhouse.
"Hurts, a lot," I said, closing my books. "But I'm a little used to the pain... It's only been a week."
"Can't you get pain meds?" he asked.
I shook my head. "Nurse says it'll only make me sleepy. She doesn't have any other, unfortunately."
He chuckled. "Right. There is always a plan B."
Is he really suggesting weed right now?
"I'm not smoking a joint," I said, getting off my chair.
He grew a frown. "A joint? No, I meant go to Jericho and by your own meds."
Oh... shit... okay...
"Oh," I said, looking at him blankly.
I simply, in embarrassment, just turned around, and walked to the plants in the back of the class. I heard him laugh as he slowly followed after me.
"I knew that," I lied, making him laugh again.
I filled a watering tin with water, before walking from plant to plant.
Gently, I felt arms wrap around my waist, and a smile filled my lips. It was Xavier. He pulled me a bit closer to him, and I rested my head back a bit, while still watering plants.
"Maybe," he whispered, "You just need to be careful and calm and patient, and rest."
I giggled lightly, feeling him rest his chin on my head. "I'm fine, Xav. You don't need to worry about me."
I placed the watering tin down, before turning to face him. His hands were still around my waist, and my rested on his chest.
"I'm healing, alright?"
He didn't respond. He just looked at me, and I saw him being calm. It made me smile softly.
"Maybe..." I said, looking down at his chest. "... tonight we could go for a walk. I don't know where. Maybe around the corridors or something. Just be calm."
His smile widened softly. "I think I know about a place we could go. It's a nice place, really."
I giggled. "Alright. As long as there's no weird things. And as long as you don't kill me."
Xavier smiled, before leaning a bit down. I leaned up, and just before our lips touched, something tumbled over in the class. Both our heads jumped up, and mine widened as I saw Enid look and both Xavier and I, frozen.
We immediately sprung away from each other, but her eyes looked from mine to his, and I noticed she was shocked beyond words.
"Enid," I said, looking at Xavier for a split second, before back at her. "It's not what it-"
She reversed towards the door, and I immediately followed.
"Enid, wait!"
