"Stop staring."
I glanced up at Ajax who sat glancing over his chair, back at Xavier. I slid the left side of my headphones off, which meant they couldn't see it. And I listened.
"I'm not staring," Xavier groaned.
"Admiring, whatever. She's off limits."
A stupid smile grew my lips, while I kept my eyes on the passing woods.
"Turn around, Ajax. Keep your eyes to yourself, okay? And shut it."
Ajax laughed lightly. "Right. Got it dream boat."
I glanced back at them, seeing Ajax turn back around. Just then, I got a notification on my phone, and I pulled my headphone back on, before entering my Instagram. I had a couple follow requests. Perks of having a private account. Many were from students at school, and some who I noticed probably found me through other accounts.
Then my eyes fell on Xavier's account name, and the silly small smile returned. I accepted him and followed him back as I did. My eyes glanced down at his phone as he turned it around. My eyes returned to my phone as I continued going through follow requests.

"What's with you and my brother?" I asked as Enid and I stood aside while Ajax and Xavier stood in line for slushies.
She frowned. "What do you mean?" she asked, but I saw in her eyes that she knew exactly what I meant.
"Do you like him?" I asked.
Her mouth opened a little as she was making ready to talk, even though she didn't say something for a while.
"I won't be mad if you do..."
She gritted her teeth together as she smiled softly. "I don't know if you're joking or not..."
"I'm honest," I said, looking at him. "He's quite a catch. Anti-social, but a bit interesting."
She smiled a little more genuine. "He is quite interesting. Very, actually. Not too bad looking too..."
When she said that, a photo of us two years ago popped into my head. I grew a bright smile. I grabbed my phone, making her look at me again.
"I need to show you a photo."
She looked down at my phone as I scrolled through my gallery, until I finally found the perfect photo I was looking for. It was of Ajax and I when we used breadsticks as vampire teeth.
Enid laughed.
Just then, the two boys appeared in front of us, and I immediately lowered my phone to my chest, hiding it from them.
Ajax frowned. "What're you hiding?"
Enid giggled again, taking a red slushy from him. "Nothing!"
I laughed as I closed my phone, sliding it into my bag. I took a purple slushy from Xavier, before we started walking again.
"They're close," I commented, making Xavier frown. "I don't know if it'll be ephemeral or not, but it's cute."
"Doesn't it bother you?".
I shook my head. "Why would it? I cannot control their lives. If they fall for each other, they just do. Life is ephemeral anyways, you know. I can't be mad at them because of who they like."
He chuckled. "So the gorgon and wolf thing isn't creepy for you?"
"Why would it be?" I asked. "So what?"
