I ran my fingers through my hair and let out a long sigh. I looked at the pile of clothes on the ground. How was I supposed to find an outfit for school in this mess?
I closed my eyes and just grabbed something out of the pile. I threw the clothes on and looked in my mirror. Not bad. I put on a beanie to cover my bed hair and went downstairs for breakfast.
While I mumbled angrily about how early I had to wake up, my dad was looking at me with a disappointed look. I didn't notice him until he cleared his throat.
''When were you going to tell me about the F you got for English?''
I looked at my dad with a shocked expression, he never cared about my grades. English is actually one of my favorite subjects, but we had to write a paper about the famous love story. I normally do quite well in this class, but because of my hatred for the love story, I didn't care about what the teacher thought was right.
"I swear I will get better grades," I answered. My dad didn't looked too pleased, but because he had to go to work, he decided to drop the subject.
I looked at the time and saw that I only had 20 minutes left. Quickly I grabbed something to eat and ran out the door. It was a ten minute walk to my school and I didn't like being late. I've never been late and that wasn't about to change either.
When I got to school I hurried to my locker.
''Boo!" said a high pitched voice. Sarah Newman.
Sarah Newman- was as you could say the it-girl. She always looked perfect, not a hair out of place and she always had a big smile on her face. Every girl wanted to be her and every boy wanted her, blah blah blah...And oh, surprise surprise, she was of course dating the school jock.
My life was way too cliché.
I removed her hands from my eyes and looked at her dryly.
I am quite the opposite of her, I'm not social, don't have a smile 24/7 on my face and I most definitely don't care about what people think of me. Some people call me a cold hearted sarcastic bitch, but I mean does it look like I care? Let me tell you, No.
A lot of people still talk to me, even though they know I'm always in a bad mood. They are desperate for some attention from the 'populars'. Yes I'm ashamed to say that I am indeed one of the so called populars.
The only reason why I am popular is because I am best friends with Sarah, it kind of gives me an immunity card. I've known her since kindergarten, so no, I'm not using her for popularity.
"Hey Sarah, James" I hugged Sarah and gave a nod to James. James gave me a nod back and swung his arm around Sarah. They were never far apart from each other, it would annoy me sometimes. But I mean, what doesn't annoy me.
Sarah looked around and apparently noticed someone.
She called out, "Finn, Clarke, over here!" I looked behind her and saw the siblings walking over to where we were standing. Finn has dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes you could melt away in, he was as you could say the school's bad boy. He always got in trouble and had a constant smirk on his face, it was quite rare to get a real smile out of him.
Clarke is a cheerleader and has blonde hair and blue eyes. If you meet Finn and Clarke for the first time, you wouldn't guess they were siblings. The only resemblance there is, is their nose.
Clarke is always in a good mood and she's nice if you really get to know her, but she can be a real bitch when you get on her bad side. When you're on her bad side, She. Is. Ruthless.
Once she poisoned the food of a girl who accidentally bumped into her. The poor girl missed two weeks of school because of that. Three weeks later she transferred to a new school. Since then, no one dared to stand in Clarke's way. Kinda twisted if you ask me. There's a reason why I don't really talk to her.
Together we walked through the halls of Easton High. As soon as people saw us, they made a path. Some girls envied us and some hated our guts, same goes for guys.
Luckily all of us had the same first period, Geography. Geography went by quickly, next was a free period for me. I said goodbye to my friends and walked to the library.
I walked to my usual spot, but there was already somebody sitting in my corner. Not wanting to deal with people, I searched the library for a different spot. While I mumbled angrily about the fact that my spot was taken and searched for a comfortable corner, that's when I heard a high pitched giggle and I turned around to see where it came from. Frowning I saw a fake platinum blond with an orange tan, making out in a corner with a guy, who's face I couldn't see. Not that I wanted to see his face or anything.
That was the only thing I hated about this library; the people who only come to the library to 'get it on'. It was simply disgusting. We were in school for crying out loud.I rolled my eyes at the couple. I was trying to ignore the sound of saliva being exchanged, until I heard a slap and shouting coming from the blond bimbo.
The blond stormed out of the library and left the guy standing there with a shocked look. The guy was Mason O'Conner.I couldn't help myself from grinning at this. Who would've thought that the school's player would get slapped by one of his toys? Let me give you a hint; I didn't.
Of course my smiling didn't go unnoticed. "What are you staring at," he asked me, quite rudely must I say.
"A public humiliation," I answered grinning at him.He looked shocked at my answer, before quickly composing himself. "Are you sure you're not drooling over my perfect body," he replied with a cocky attitude.
"Ha, you wish. The only sexy thing about you is the red handprint on your cheek," I said laughing.
Of course I noticed how hot his muscled chest was. He looked straight out of a magazine, well without the red mark on his face of course. At that thought I bursted out laughing.
When I sobered up from my laughing fit, I saw him still standing there with a mischievous glint in his eyes.He sure as hell was sexy, but I wasn't going to give him that satisfaction. If I told him that, I would be feeding his ego. Like he needed it to get any bigger.
"Am I making you uncomfortable, kitten," he said taking a few steps towards me.
"I don't know what makes you stupid, but it really works", I said, already getting annoyed.
"The only one who's stupid is you"
"Is that the best you can come up with, you disappoint me," I said with a smirk.
"Fuck you," I could practically see the smoke coming out of his ears.
"No thanks, I don't want herpes." I shot him a wink, knowing that I was getting on his nerves. He let out an aggravated sigh,
"Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning?"
"I don't even eat Cheerios." I shot him a look and turned around, still searching for a corner to read. It seemed that all the spots were already occupied. I could always sit by the comput-
"You know, every time I see your face, my middle finger gets a boner," he said. I turned around and took a couple of steps towards him, trying to be seductive.
"Funny, because that's not the only thing that is getting a boner" I whispered in his ear.
Not in the mood for reading anymore, I walked out of the library. I wasted too much of my time talking to him. I went outside and sat down under a tree. Ah, a little peace. Much appreciated.
